During a discussion, he rejects the opinion of Sazan, a mussel specialist and grower. Sazan's daughter, also talented in chess, participated. Ilo is convinced that he will easily cope with the match with the local chess players, but at the same time he is defeated by little Rudina, where he puts a mussel as a symbol of the queen. He accepts a double defeat when he finds out that she is the daughter of his opponent at work as well.
