Screening of the novel with the same title by Ismail Kadare “November of a capital”. A partisan team in which Teuta is a member receives an order to rebuild Radio Tirana. Partisans gather former employees of Radio Tirana and various intellectuals who stayed away during the war to help with the broadcast. Teuta becomes the first speaker for free Tirana.

“In front of the former palaces of the princesses, there was really a noisy crowd […] Did you see the bedrooms? someone said. A man with a mirror in his arms, bent over, was struggling out of the gate. You have no shame, turn the mirror back, another shouted, lowering his head to the mirror holder’s ear […] At the Regency Palace, someone said in a low voice. They let you loot there. It’s not true. I am coming from there. There is a partisan guard […] Did you see the bathtubs? someone asked. I saw them, yes. What a prostitute! (Ismail Kadare, November of a capital, Literary Works 6, “Naim Frashëri” Publishing House, Tirana, 1981, pp. 126-127)

« The film and novel-screenplay that tell us about the last days of the people’s struggle to liberate Tirana from the Nazi occupier, this news is given to us by the voice of the serious narrator whose severity can be confused with a press release of the Nazi headquarters . During the reading of the wartime chronicle, the narrative emphasis through a slight pronunciation delay singles out the word Radiostation, implying the main object of the film as well as the specific goal of the partisan group. The film in its first part mainly reflects the partisan war in the streets of the capital, while in the second part, that of the victory and liberation of the city, it is divided between two plans: the great escape while the remaining families are already hiding and trying to organize the anti-radio station, while the second part deals with the mobilization of some partisans to restore the radio station to work, to give the missing voice to Albania.”

« Privileged residents of the capital on the eve of November 17, 1944 feel the fire under their soles, the smoke, the crackling and the swaying of the idols. One falls and hundreds rise, the people say. Everything is over for the old society. Along with the chief residents, a part of the city’s being, irreplaceable for now, also left. Plans, relationships, friendships, contracts, wealth that are buried in the impossibility of quick transfers, while the soul of the city, i.e., the symbol, the spiritual leader is stripped like a booty that cannot even be taken with you – what city would be transported? Troy? – nor can it be set on fire as happens with unwanted facts and data from the eyes of antagonistic followers. Good spirit or bad spirit, it is already there, empty, without body, without breath, without air. “Musolini” boulevard must wait a few days to be called “Dino Sinojmeri”. Wooden shutters, white beds, palm and cypress trees planted once, when things were very different, buildings, furniture, telephone wires, antennas, institutions, hotels and others, souls awaiting immortality from the souls of those who they have no voice and body, they have not found comfort in the misery of materially marginalized “Zombies” and “Kulceder”.
