The film "Commissar of Light" was produced in 1966 by Kinostudio "Alshqiperia e Re" Director: Dhimitër Anagnosti and Viktor Gjika, Screenplay: Llazar Siliqi, Producer: Albania e re, Music : Tish Daija.
The content of the film Liberation found Albania in ignorance. Over 85% of the population was illiterate. Partisan brigade fighter, Dritan Shkaba, is tasked with opening schools in the villages of Mirdita, a mountainous province in northern Albania. The new teacher should, in addition to the pen, also hold the rifle tightly. Armed reactionary gangs operate all around, making every effort to obstruct educational reform in the fight against illiteracy.
"The Commissioner" is a religious film with two atmospheres: against the gods and the corruption of the clergy and in favor of faith in the new religion. The year 1966 is neither the descent of the communist devil on the Albanian soil nor the sunset of the gods or any metaphysics. It is the rebirth of a new, more emancipated, more revolutionary, more practical and unifying religion."
