"HALILI AND HAJRIA The three-act ballet of the prominent Albanian composer Tish Daija Halili and Hajria is an all-Albanian ballet work, the first on the Albanian ballet stage. It was January 13, 1963, when the composer Tish Daija, the ballet master Panajot Kanaçi, the conductor Mustafa Krantja and a whole suite of artists staged the ballet "Halili and Hajria". The first performers in the role of Halil were Xhemil Simixhi, Kristaq Rada and Llaqi Nako, and in the role of Hajria: Ganimet Vendresha (Simixhi) Zoica Haxho, while the names of Luan Shtino, Miltiadh Papa, Agron Aliajt, Skënder are mentioned in the other roles. Jazexhiut, etc. In 1983, this work was staged again. Next to the name of Llaqi Nako, in the role of Halil, that of Ilir Kerni is listed, while in the other roles Albana Sulejmani, Pëllumb Agalliu, Hajdar Shtuni, Ludmill Çakalli, etc. On December 12, 1973, it was played for the one hundred and fiftieth time, while on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theater and outside it, it was played over 250 times. In the tournaments in Greece, Italy, Turkey, France, there was indisputable success. It was staged in France by a French troupe, then also in Pristina. In both cases, the ballet master was the great Panajot Kanaçi. NOTE: The version we have made available is from 1983, re-staged, now by a cast of younger dancers. Next to the name of Llaqi Nako, in the role of Halil, that of Ilir Kerni is listed, while in the other roles Albana Sulejmani, Pëllumb Agalliu, Hajdar Shtuni, Ludmill Çakalli, etc. The choreographer is again Panajot Kanaçi. The ballet "Halili and Hajrija" has been performed nearly 300 times on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana. Other choreographers such as Agron Alija or Arjan Sukniqi have also worked for him. Endless performances have been given in the country and abroad, as in the tours of Greece (1983), in Italy (1991) and in the Festival "Summer of Ohrid" (2005). In France, this ballet was staged with the artists of the Clermond-Ferrand Opera and Ballet Theater (1980), choreographed by Brice Leroux.
