The 5th festival was in danger of not taking place at all. Already "revolutionization" under Chinese influence came like a hurricane and was sweeping away everything that had gone before. The 5th Congress of the PPSh, the "revolutionary" Congress, had just taken place and the speech of February 1967 was being prepared to "uproot backward customs", to finally ban religion. However, the festival took place and is the only one held only in two nights: December 28-29, 1966. It was presented again by the duo Drita Bardhi – Bujar Kapexhiu. A total of 13 songs were sung and on the second night (final) 11 songs came out. It was already a different time. The blazing pace of the 2nd festival, but also the delicacy of the 4th festival, were of another era. The songs were accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra directed by Ferdinand Deda, Fiqiri Kraja and Roland Çene. Guitars and drums were now completely missing. Some notes of popular joy were heard in some songs accompanied by the orchestra with folk instruments of Kukës led by Zef Gruda. Even the participating singers are more from classical music (opera) than from light music. We can mention the tenor singer Nevruz Yzeiri, whose career will end after the 10th Festival. The content of most of the songs is about the Party, the village, "to make the mountains like fields", the terraces, etc. There are still no songs where Enver's name is heard. These will start later, in the 15th festival. It is the first time that a composer is allowed to participate with two songs (which will happen later, but rarely). In this festival there are three composers who participate with two songs: Nikolla Zoraqi, Agim Prodani and Pjetër Gaci. The song "Free Eagle" sung by Vaçe Zela and Ramiz Kovaçi wins. This is the first festival where the song sung by Vaçe Zela wins. (Text according to Jozef Zamputi in Wikipedia) This video was prepared by Albanian Cinematografia in November 2019.
