Agron Hamo, is one of the inseparable brothers of the prominent parodists of Vlora and of Albanian humor!
Hamo was born on January 15, 1950, in the beautiful coastal town of Vlora. The actor is of Girokastra origin from a family of education lovers.
Agron started his artistic career around 1966 as an amateur at the caustic soda factory. At the beginning of the 70s, he joined Afrim Agalliu. And here comes the “Fridge Parody” written by F. Laro.
There is talk of selling refrigerators, because at that time there were none, so they were sold by “Pylli i Sodas”.
“Frigorifere ke per te nxjerre/na bere derr/lavatriçe s’kemi pare/qe del i shet neper mullare”.
Both actors gathered at the house of Nestor Jonuzi, the painter, today the People’s Artist. They played the guitar and sang for the high school girls students with golden hair.
In v. ’76 comes from the olive grove where Mane (Lumani) worked. The “Parody of the fishermen” stands out.
In v. ’78 Meti joined them, coming from the army. And this group of 4 members was formed in the 80s!
Its builder was the director M. Ferra. Since then, they remain together until the misfortunes that hit the group, especially with the loss of Muhamet Liko.
This is how this group continued their artistic life next to the “Petro Marko” Variety Theater in Vlora.
It was another time rich in artistic activity, where every year parodies, the most beautiful skits, the best troupes, the most talented actors were gathered and included in professional troupes.
Hamo stands out with his talent in the interpretation of parody and deservedly wins the applause of the people of Vlora and also of the Albanian spectators.
It’s a golden quartet of parodists so combined that everyone still believes they were born to interpret this genre.
In 1996, Agron Hamo will now perform as a professional, even though until that year he was part of the amateur movement, and looking at his interpretation skills, it is not that there was any difference with professionalism, (maybe even he was at a higher level).
With the variety theater of Vlore, Hamo has one success after another, especially in the genre of parody. Although new techniques appear, the parody of Agron and his friends remains the essence of the group. In the group, the values are maximum. Vocals, plasticity, mimicry, gesticulation are intermingled there. From this comes the effect of living harmony.
The golden fund of parodies are: “Musketeers”, “Opus 89”, “Raq Kapoor”, “Miss ’95”, “The Pensioner”. The parodies bear the pen of F. Laro. The parodies of P. Kulles are “Hallet e Demos”, “Nuse po vjen dhenderri”.
Gafur Shameti always remains in their help with his pen. Even today, together with the other actor Afrim Agalliu, he continues his artistic activity, extending the period of time to over 50 years of career, with an endless list of characters interpreted over the years.
From this rich activity, it holds with full merit the title “Naim Frashëri i Artë”, for its contribution and raising the values of Albanian humor.
Agron Hamo stands out for the elegant interpretation of the parody, with a restrained gesticulation, pure diction, with a melodious and well intoned voice.
From the repertoire of this parodist, we remember “Gjyle”, “Zalo”, “Bureaucrat”, “Weddings”, “Finger History” and others
Agron Hamo as well as the other protagonists of the parody, Afrim, Meti, Mane, who have writen their names on this difficult road, they describe it as long, tiring, but still beautiful.
He was active with a small role in the serial film “Dawns of the Great Season”
