Eno Koço Conductor, composer – Merited Artist! Eno Koço was born in Tirana on April 1, 1943 in a family with musical traditions. He is the grandson of the patriot of the Renaissance, Athanas Tashko (1863-1915), and the son of the famous artist Tefta Tashko. Korçari Eno Koço, originally from Boboshtica, is the living legend of the Albanian music world. His father was a baritone, while his mother was a lyric soprano, People's Artist. At the age of 7, he started studying violin at the Artistic Lyceum of Tirana, later in Leningrad, before graduating from the ILA of Tirana in 1966. After completing his conducting studies in 1977, a year later he was appointed conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of RTVSH With this orchestra, in addition to a large number of symphonic and vocal concerts, he made recordings of this repertoire, film music and songs from Radio and Television Festivals, and toured Kosovo (1979) and Turkey (1983). Conducted the Cairo Symphony Orchestra in Egypt (1986) and was attached to the RAI Orchestra and the Opera Regio of Turin (1989). He defended his doctorate with the topic "Albanian Civic Lyrical Song in the 1930s". As it seems, the artistic work of Eno Koço in the field of musicology is colossal. His contribution to the affirmation of Albanian sensitivity on a global scale is extraordinary. Among the Albanian and English publications, there are the treatise "Orchestrimi", in collaboration with Gjon Simon (1977, 1984), the books "Tefta Tashko Koço and her time" (2000), "Albanian Civic Lyrical Song in the 1930s" (2002), periodical articles since 1970, and among the most recent ones are "On the songs of Lyra Shqiptare compilation", published in "Kultura Popullore" magazine (1999) and "Albanian Urban Song Tradition", in "Studia Albanica" (2002) . He also publishes the book "Characteristic Korçare Song (Toena I Edition", 2003), which de facto represents a part of his dissertation, and soon it is expected that the book "The Albanian Urban Lyric Song in the 1930s" will be published in America. (Scarecrow, Chicago). In 1984, Eno Koço was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the Albanian state. After his stabilization in England, in parallel with the Anglo-Irish orchestras, he maintains permanent connections with the orchestras and choirs of Albania, conducts in the National Orchestra of Tirana, performs several tours abroad, defends his doctoral thesis, presents programs from the subject of his research , subjects that relate to our spiritual values. In this direction, it holds scientific communications in European universities, affirms Albanian musical values, promotes the music of British composers in Tirana, brings Albanian opinion closer to the high values of world music (Tosca, Cosi fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, the works of Edward Eldgar).
