#KinematografiaShqiptare #ProfileArtistesh #FilmiVizatimore Sokol Xhahysa Worked at Kinostudio "New Albania" as a painter and cartoon director. He was born in Tirana on January 26, 1958. He completed his higher education at ILA – the High Institute of Painting Arts. On August 16, 1982, he started working as a painter in Kinostudio next to the department of cartoons. Initially, she worked as a multiplexer painter and from 1984 she worked as a director of cartoons, being at the same time a painter in several films. Until 1990, he made about 8 films such as: "Boy and brush" – 1983; "One thing happened in the booth" – 1984; "Robinson and the rescuers" – 1986; "Variation on the theme" – 1986; "The referee, the referee" – 1988, which was also awarded with a special award… "Robinson and the savior" was very successful and he treated this topic in three series in 1986, 1987, 1988. At the peak of his artistic activity, in 1991 he emigrated to Switzerland together with his wife, where he worked for a while as a painter, sell his works to ensure his livelihood. Sokol Xhahysa, at the students' rally in December 1990, articulated for the first time the expression: "Better a terrible end than an endless horror". _________ "Encyclopedia of Albanian Cinematography – 2002 / A.
