Vath Koreshi (1936-2006) Writer / Screenwriter. He was born in Lushnje on May 7, 1936. He attended vocational high school at the "7 Nentori" Polytechnic in the mechanical branch and worked for 4-5 years in geological expeditions in Kukes. After that, he finished his higher studies at the University of Tirana for literary language in 1964. He started his literary activity when he was still in high school. In 1964, he published the volume of stories "When the autumn rains come" and the second volume in 1968 "Land in the shadows of the house". Anyway, his first novel was "Two Saturdays of Suzane" (1971), while in In 1977, she published her second novel, "Mountain over the marshes", which was republished in French in 1998. Vath Koreshi is the author of several novels and volumes with successful stories, becoming one of the most popular writers in the country, honored with several awards. in various national competitions. 
Among his other works we can mention: "Changing the Skies" (1971) volume with stories; "Selected Stories" (1972); "March" (1975); the drama "Shadows flee from the mountains" (1968); "Mining People" (1968); "Night Guest" (1970); The novel "Haxhiu i Frakulle" (1979); "Road to far" (1985); "Requiem for a woman" (1995); "Ulku and Willi" (1996); Novel "Komomea" (1999) and many journalistic articles and essays. He has been honored with several prizes for literature in national competitions and winner of the "Cikal Brindizi" literary prize (1996); He has also been honored with three "Naim Frasheri Orders" and many of his novels, short stories and stories have even been translated into foreign languages. At the same time, he dealt with cinema-playwriting, writing scripts for several very successful feature films and gave a visible help in the development of Albanian cinematography. Together with P. Dado, K. Blushin and N. Tafen, etc., she became one of the real dramaturgs of the Albanian film. Among the films made based on his scripts that became more popular are "Ruge te bardha" (1974); awarded with the Republic Award; "General Gramophone" (1978); winner of the First Prize at the 3rd Albanian Film Festival and awarded with the Republic Prize for screenplay and direction, honored with an honorary diploma at the 3rd Balkan Film Festival in Istanbul (1980); "From the middle of the darkness" (1978 as co-author of the script); "Freedom or Death" (1979); "Dawns of the great season" (TV-1981) with 5 series based on his work "Rruga per larg"; "Besa e korze" (1982) also co-authored the script and was awarded the Cup of the 5th Albanian Film Festival. "The first night of freedom" (as co-author 1984); "Invisible World" (1987) honored with the "Aleksander Moisiu" Award; "Ballad of Kurbini" (1990) based on the novel with the same title, honored with diplomas at the International Festival in Paris, 1990; "Sako's Wedding" (1998), for which he was awarded the Cup for the best screenplay at the 11th Albanian Film Festival in April 2000. As well as the documentary film "Tears of Kosovo" (1999); "Porta Eva" (2000). 
Also, Vath Koreshi has a wide activity as a journalist in "Zeri i rinise" and the magazine "Drita" in the period 1964-1978, chief of the feature film editorial office in Kinostudio "Shqiperia e Re" from 1978 to 1983; Director of the Arts Directorate and Minister of Youth Culture and Sports 1987 – 1992. Chief Editor of the Cultural Magazine "Art" 1995. Director of the "Onufri" Publishing House 2000, etc. Other films with his script are: "On the border of two legends" (1982); "Old man and hasmi" (1982); "On the verge of life" (1986); the documentaries "We are looking for Hafize Leskovik" (2000); "Blessed" (2000); In 2001, he was a deputy in the People's Assembly.
