Kristaq Kristo (1951-2022)
Albanian film sound operator!
He was born on February 20, 1951, in Tirana. Graduated from general high school and by correspondence from the Polytechnic in the radio department. Kristo started working at Albanian Television on May 12, 1972. Worked for 2 years as a microphone operator in the studio and later in the moving studios.
From 1978 as a sound operator in the TV movie “Secret of a night”, after that he worked in 6 other movies, among which “Time does not wait”, (1984), “Friends of a Team” (1984), “White lilies” (1984), “Reconstruction” (1989), honored with an award, “White sheets” (1990), “Nje baba teper” (2000).
Kristo was also a sound operator in several documentaries after the 2000s, mentioning “With bicycles in Shkoder” (2012) by the author Agron Bala.
After v. 2000 has a wider activity in the production of films as a sound operator, where we can mention the series of v. 2008 “The pain of love” and then continuing with a number of short films: “Straight” (2009), “Parallel realities” (2009), “Guests”, “The death of grandfather Trifon” (2009), ” Beyond the borders” (2009), “Revenge” (2009), “Two friends” (2010), “Money” (2010), “A night with clear weather” (2010), “Doors, doors” (2011), “Bela” (2011), as well as the series film “Millenium” (2014).
Most recently, he worked with the well-known director Arjan Culiqi in the tele comedy film, “Perralle moderne” (2018) as a sound engineer and in the film “The clown” (2019).
Kristo passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 71.
