Pandeli Polena
Operator of chronicle and documentary films.
He was born in Tirana on September 14, 1947. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Physical Culture “Vojo Kushi”. On December 5, 1975, he started working as an assistant cameraman at Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”, starting with the film “Stars on the Drin river”.
He worked as an assistant until 1984, in 5 feature films, and from this year he started shooting documentary films himself under the direction of different documentary filmmakers.
His first documentary film as a cameraman was “Troku” / 1984/. As a co-author with his camera, he made 5-6 other films: “Sunny Day” / “Great Manifestation” / “Spartakiada” / “Albania in Celebration” / “Witness of Two Ages – 1987 / “Another Time” – 1988 and others.
At the same time, he filmed several chronicles and events for archival purposes. In 1993, he worked as an operator at Albanian Television, where he produced telereports and various chronicles with his camera.
Mr. Polena, before starting work in cinematography, was involved in sports.
NOTE: Unfortunately, we do not have any information prior to 2002 for the operator in question. However, the aim of this page is not to let it be forgotten as far as we have information no artist from Albanian Scenic Arts.
