Albert Xholi Assistant director and film director at Kinostudio. He was born in Korce on March 1, 1948. In the period 1968-1972 he studied at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana. In Albanian cinematography, he started in 1973 in the position of assistant director in a considerable number of feature films: "Looking for the five ores" – 1974, "Ruge te bardha" – 1974, "The explosion" – 1974, "Beni ecen vete" – 1975, "River of light" – 1975, "My wedding toast" – 1978, "Concert in v. `36" – 1978, "Radio station" – 1979, "A night without light" – 1981, "A name among people" – 1983, "The first voyage" – 1984, "Who died on foot" – 1984, etc. He also played a role as an actor in the short film "The First Voyage". The long work as an assistant to experienced directors helped him to start filming himself. Thus, from 1985 to 1990, he made 5 films, starting with "Hot Autumn of 41" – (co-author, 1985), "Difficult Beginning" – 1986, "My Family" – 1987, "Shkelqim i perkoheshem" – 1989 and "Life in the hands of another" – 1989. Two of these films, "Fillim i veshtire" and "Life in the hands of another" turned out to be the most successful and were also awarded special prizes. In 1995, he shot the documentary film "Besnik Sykja". Later he works as a film producer.
