Merita Çoçoli Actress of the theater "AZ Cajupi" Korce and Albanian cinema. She was born in Maliq, Korce, on November 22, 1958. She studied at ILA – the High Institute of Arts for actresses. In addition to her activity as an actress in the theater of Korce, where we can remember, among others, the show "The Accused City", she also performed in the cinematography in several Kinostudio films, mainly in the second half of the 80s, such as: "Spring Again" – 1985 (agronomist) / "Nothing is forgotten" – 1985 / "Don't be silent" – 1985 (shooting instruction) / "Rails" – 1987 / "Come" – 1987 / "Life in the hands of others" – 1990.

She has had secondary and episodic roles, but nevertheless she has been noticed for her high-level interpretation, where she especially stood out with her voice. Since 1995, she lives with her family in Skopje, in North Macedonia, where she started her career as a cultural journalist, screenwriter and director of several television documentaries that have even been awarded international prizes. She works as an editor at Skopje Television (former RJ of Macedonia). On the State Television of Macedonia, the program in the Albanian language has been following and promoting Albanian culture for 25 years, through news chronicles, reports and shows in the Studio, which reach the figure of over 700 premieres in a row. She is the head of the Feature Film Department, documentary and Theater. Merita Cocoli is the creator and part of the board of the Theater Festival "Akt Fest" that is held every year in Skopje. The festival rewards the best professional Albanian actors from all Albanian-speaking regions, for their creations during the year.

In addition to acting, she has made contemporary documentary films, films that are financially supported by the Macedonian Film Fund. The last film directed and written by Merita Çoçoli premiered in Skopje. The film is titled "Nezo" and talks about the war in Kosovo seen from the human perspective of the civilian population, which suffers the severe consequences of the war.
