Eduart Stavri Çala
Actor of the Dramatic Theater “Skampa”, Elbasan and Albanian Cinematography.

Born in Elbasan on September 19, 1950. One of the stars of the actors who came out of this city. In Elbasan, he finished the 7th year and the “Jeronim De Rada” High School. He did not complete the ILA as an actor, but on the contrary, he completed his higher studies at “Aleksander Xhuvani”, for language and literature.

Since he was in high school, he became active in the theater in the comedy “The Way of Zavalines”. It will be the year 1971 when he will be included in the organic of the “Skampa” theater as a professional actor, on the stage of which he will perform about 56 different shows with a variety of roles ranging from those of the protagonist to secondary and episodic ones. Eduart Cala has also been active in several feature films, although in secondary or episodic roles, he has been able to show his skills as a contributor to the genre of this art.

The films that we can mention are: “Beyond the stone walls” (1979) Italian Questor; “One November Night” TV (1979); “A little Partisan, Velo” (1980) commissioner, “Bitter Spring” (1985); “One more life” (1986), “Chronicle of those years” (1986), “Three people cross the mountain” (1988), “Colors of age” (1990).

There is also an activity as a director in the Puppet Theater, staging a considerable number of plays for children. He has been in the role of leader in several shows, concerts and various spectacles, nationwide festivals of folk songs, children’s song festivals, promotional concerts of various youth groups. It was awarded in 1985 with the “Naim Frasheri” medal.

The Municipality of Elbasan has honored him with the title of “City Recognition” in addition to the evaluations he has meritoriously received in various National Theater Festivals as well as those for Children and Puppets. He currently lives in Elbasan.
