Of course, they are the verses of a well-known song sung by the singer and actress Nertila Koka. Her smile melted in the air, an indescribable happiness spread everywhere as she used to sing those beautiful songs as if they were created for her.

“We always had love between us, it grew like a young shoot” / “…like a piece of love I took with me”/ No, it is not important to tell you which girl I am or what kind of heart I have. It is enough to tell you that I am a student with a heart full of freshness with blue eyes / “Because I love you and you love me, we share our love, our song like the song of the birds adds happiness….”

Many years have passed since that time. Life is very complex, as Nertila herself would say. She still maintains the fresh appearance with which the public remembers her, from her first debuts on the stage. A fragile, calm and very sensitive woman, it seems that Nertila Koka reflects these qualities in every cell of her being.

The Albanian stage artist was born in Tirana on February 21,1966. Koka is graduated from the Academy of Arts in Tirana in 1989 first on the music scene was at the “Spring Concert” in 1983, when she was 16. At this age, she also received her first prize, as the best debutante, at the “Spring Festival” beautiful in its old neighborhood “21 December”, and it was precisely here that the child started singing.

This neighborhood is important for Nertila, as it is where she experienced the first moments when she became famous: people knocked on the door of her house at 6 o’clock in the morning to greet her for the first prize…. They were the most beautiful moments of her life as an artist.


As a singer, at the Song Festivals in RTSH, she reached in 1984 First Prize; 1986 First Prize; 1989 Second Prize.

In the “Spring Festivals” of 1983 she won a second prize with the song composed by Vladimir Kotani and with lyrics by Arben Duka “A spring flower” .

So Nertila started participating in RTSH Festivals that year. 1984 together with Gezim Cela at the 23rd Festival with the song “Cel si gonxhe dashuria” where she won the 1st prize.

In the edition of the 25th Festival in RTSH, in 1986, Nertila Koka participates with the song “Two joys in a day”, also winning the first prize. Meanwhile, the participation continues even later, in December 1990, David Tukiqi & Nertila Koka participate in the 29th RTSH Festival with the song “Sagapo – Te Dua” winning second prize.

After the 90s, she took part in the 32nd Festival in 1993, duet with Viktor Tahiraj with the song “Te vrame moj dashuri”.



She started her artistic career at a young age and reached the heights of success when she was still young. For a short time she did a lot enjoying everything. Then Nertila’s life touched another moment: something very beautiful and that had a lot of value for her, such as family.

Very soon she became a mother and it was the most beautiful thing, which according to her could not be compared with her career.





It will be the year 1991 when she would leave Albania.

Nertila has been building her life abroad in Sweden for many years. Due to the work of her husband, the now deceased Sokol, they have moved a lot from one country to another and have adapted to different customs and ways of life. They first went to Turkey, where she became a drama teacher at “Çukurova” University. Then Koka family went to Japan, where Nertila held a concert at the “Skala” theater in Tokyo with Albanian songs of light and popular music. Nertila has also sung popular songs in Switzerland, Italy and Croatia. In Sweden, she stay away from the scenes, working as a teacher, a profession that she like very much. Koka has two daughters, Sara and Ani. Imagine the contrasts from Albania to Turkey, then to Japan and finally to Sweden, where she has been living for many years.

In 2013, she lost her husband, Sokol, a lecturer in medical engineering. Nertila Koka has also performed in several Albanian films, although with secondary roles.

When she was a student in the canto department at the Artistic High School, at the age of 16, in the second year, she was selected by the directors Kristaq Mitro and Ibrahim Muça for the role of Arthur’s Sister in the movie “Apassionata” 1983.

A year later, she plays the role of Bora in “Love your name”; In 1985, the role of Lumta in “Tre nerez me guna”. In 1987, Koka played in the film “Telefoni i nje mengjesi” in the role of Lira.
