"An actor's life is like a sailing ship that knows its departure but never the harbor where it will stop. In this voyage there are waves, calm seas, there are gusts, there are storms, there are waves and tsunamis, but they are all part of the same game. This is the life of an actor" Born in Tirana on April 3, 1947, she is a well-known actress with special characteristics, tall, elegant, smiling, proud, and with a lot of acting skills. As a child, in fact, the desire for acting was a distant, personal dream that belonged only to her, because the family did not think at that time that she would choose the path of performing arts in life. Drite's parents dreamed of her becoming a doctor or a teacher. Our actress was seven years old at the "Hoxha Tahsin" school, here this school had a gang leader who chose the pioneers who recited beautifully and prepared them professionally. Precisely this manager, seeing Drite's talent, pushes the little one to register at the Palace of Pioneers, in the theater district. Drita's mother agreed, while her father had objections, to whom she communicated at the beginning that Drita was taking a course in tailoring. Her parents wanted her to study at home inside, not be involved in activities outside. Anyway, after the first obstacles, in the circle of the theater he got to know the upcoming actresses Roland Trebicka, Pëllumb Dervish, and director Zenulla Hatibi. This is how a group was formed where these chosen ones competed with all the pioneer houses that were at that time. It is about when she was still a little girl of 12 years old. The success of this group became known throughout Albania. Yes, at the "Hoxha Tahsin" school, an opera specialist came to make a selection for the voice and luckily for her, Drita was one of the specialist's favorites. He liked her voice and sent her to the children's show that was on Tirana radio. It was a live show. Mostly pioneer songs were sung. They were very beautiful creations, for children. Here the pioneer Drita sings as second voice with another talented girl, Mereme Bodinaku. After the seventh grade school, they send him to the artistic lyceum. She got her start in acting with the great director Zina Andri, the first female director, the charming Russian who received the Art Medal in Moscow. It was the first pedagogy of actors' skills. The high school closed after two years and Drites will have to compete in the Institute of Arts like all her friends. But she would also have to finish high school, since she only had two years of high school (while she continued to take her high school and high school exams). In 1967, she completed her studies at ILA in the drama branch, where immediately after graduation she was appointed an actress at the People's Theater (today TK) where she would spend 20 years in that building. The first role was in the movie "Ngadhnjim over pometa". It was the role of a nurse. For Driten, it was a beautiful moment that I will remember with a lot of nostalgia. Maybe that small role opened doors for him in film and theater. It was exactly the year that Drita Haxhiraj graduated. That same year she has two joys. The role of the first film and the greatest joy is the engagement with her future husband, Fatos. After this role, she was offered another one in the Drama "Drita" directed by Kujtim Spahivogli and written by Mimika Luca. A modest interpretation, but one that was liked. The talented actress Drita Pelingu gave her a big help here. In this drama, she would gain a lot by watching carefully the way the experienced actors prepared or performed. The well-known actress Edi Luarasi also gave her great help and courage, who taught her in detail on the set. But the most exciting and which has left a deep mark on her life was the role in the drama "The Second Face" written by Dritëro Agolli and directed by Piro Mani. In this show, she will have the chance to perform with powerful actors, such as Violeta Manushi (mother), Kadri Rroshin (father) and Viktor Gjoka (uncle). She had lovers in this drama, her real fiance Fatosi, while she was engaged to the actor Bexhet Nelku. All these people inspired him by making his work very easy. It was a very successful role. It was the time when the spectator got up at 4 o'clock in the morning to cut the tickets. Her artistic career in Film and Theater is spread over a long period of successful years with interpretations in different roles, a total of 52 roles on stage and in films. Five Festivals at RTSH, as announcer, over 100 concerts directed. But she already has five other roles in Italian cinema. We find it in the series "La squadra", "Diritto di difesa", "Il falco e la colomba", as well as in the films "Passo a due", "La roulette". A whole treasure, an archive in itself is Light in the theater and in the Albanian film. In the theater there are roles in "Friends", "Event in the factory", "A short winter", "The second face", "The prefect", "Death of a commissioner" , "Romeo and Juliet", "Prometheus", "Who Brought Doruntina", "Andromaca", "Kremlin Hours", "The Year 1961", "Orpheus Goes Down to Hell", "The Man Who Saw Death with His Eyes", " The Fisherman's Family", "Dead River", "Shenomen and Me", "The Age Before Judgment", "Zylo's Shining and Shocking Fall", "Uninvited Friends", etc. Meanwhile, in the film, we find him in roles in: "Death Attack", "Guerrilla Unit", "Blerta's Engagement", "Hearts that don't age", "Students of my class", "Mondi and Diana", "Lilies of white" etc. She has worked with great directors who have entrusted her with various roles. Piro Mani, Kujtim Spahivogli, Esat Oktrova, Dhimitër Pecani, her husband, Fatosi have always had faith in her interpretations, in which Drita himself has tried to justify their faith. She was the presenter of the Song Festival on RTV 5 times. Specifically, the first Festival that he presented was the third Song Festival at RTSH. He presented this Festival together with the actor Vangjel Heba. He directed the fourth and fifth festival with Bujar Kapexhiu. The sixth Festival was partnered by Albert Mingë and the seventh Festival with the great Roland Trebicka. For her work as an artist, she has been honored with various awards both in Albania and abroad. She joins her husband, the director and actor Fatos Haxhiraj, supporting him in this initiative, who leaves for Rome to specialize in theater.
