XHELIL ALIU
Director, screenwriter, journalist and well-known speaker of Radio Tirana.
Born on September 26, 1956 in Kalivac, Tepelene. He spent three years without school at all because he was not 7 years old in his native village and he is forced to go to another village to continue his education. He finished high school in Përrenjas i Librazhdi, graduating in Geology-mining. After school, they sent him to Martanesh, to the chrome mine. This is also where he first came into contact with art, after being active in a variety show competition.
That’s when he decided to study acting in Tirana at the High Institute of Arts, which he finished in 1972. At the time of his education at ILA, he is looking for a job to provide income and a friend of his suggests him to collaborate on Radio for some fee. Yes, he also learns the profession of a journalist on the radio.
Then he started working as a director at Radio Tirana, becoming a second home for him. In 2001, he took charge of radio programming as department director, while in In 2002, he was the director of this institution for a while. 
He also works as a journalist at Albanian Television, in the documentary sector. He has realized over 1200 shows of a cultural nature, many of them for the theater. Aliu has provided a special assistant for various theater shows on the radio such as “Teatri in the microphone”; “Heroism of our people for centuries”; “The artistic word in the microphone”; “Humorous show”; as well as 210 dramatizations of books from our or world literature, broadcast in the “Radio adaptation” sections; “Radio fairy tale”; “Radio storytelling”; “Patriotic Show” etc. 
Among these many achievements, the dramas stand out: “In the heart of the desert”; “Smell of honey”; “Return”; “Old age”; “The lady goes down to Pompeii”; “The enemy did not see his back”; “They die to never be forgotten”; etc.
He has prepared over 50 special radio documentaries about the life and activities of prominent figures in theater, cinematography, literature, medicine, etc. He is the author of several radio dramas, plays for children, publicist articles in the press of the time.
