In the madman’s room.
The great actress Margarita Xhepa has passionately told the art lovers how she had prepared the most successful role of her career.
“I bought fruits and went to the hospital, to the psychiatric ward. I met with the ward doctor and told him the reason for this visit. He allowed me to visit a sick person where he accompanied me.
When I walked among the sick, I wanted to find a new patient to fit my role. After I found it, I thanked the doctor and directed myself to the patient, who did not like me at all.
After a few questions, she started to answer me.
So, I noticed with the actor’s eye her reactions in all the smallest movements of the face, limbs and body. I noticed when she cried and laughed. The way she spoke, her voice and the time she spent on these activities.
I noticed how she went from one state to another and I absorbed all this in my rehearsals on stage.”
