Piro Qirjo
Actor of Albanian Cinema and Theater “Andon Zako Cajupi” – Korce!

Born in Korce on October 16, 1963. He completed his studies at the High Institute of Arts for actor.  Qirjo has acted in several Albanian films, starting in 1984 in “Who dies on his foot”. Later, he was noticed for his performance of the role of Gjog Berisha in the film “The Uninvited” – 1985, based on the motifs of Ismail Kadare’s “Broken April”.

In 1988, he will perform in two other films: “Temporary Glow” (Nuriu, the director of the theater) and “Reconstruction” (Ilir Celnikasi).

In 1990, it will be the last role in Kinostudio’s film, that of the German officer, Major Max in “Chronicle of a Night”.

On the stage of the Korca`s Theater, he has also performed several plays such as: “The patient doctor” – 1988 (the doctor’s brother) / “Twilight bells” – 1988 (the brigadier of the brigade) / “The million dollar check” – 1989 (Henri) / “Opera per tre groshe” – 1990 (Meki).

In the 2000s he also exercised the position of director mainly in documentary films: “People`s Advocate” – 2002 / “Said to be heard” – 2003 / “Road, History Communication” – 2004.

He has also directed various advertising media and short films.
