OFF CAMERAS! Her name is Jonida Gjoka and she is an activist. Few people know that the lady in question is the daughter of the well-known actresses Mirketa Cobani and the now deceased Agim Shuke. She was only 9 months old, when the couple of actresses divorced. In the excellent comedy "Rain on the beach" by the author Teodor Laco, the actor and later lecturer at ILA, Agim Shuke, plays the role of Zeno, a fanatic disappointed by a relationship that the character once had with an actress. Uncle Zeno, forbids his nephew Alber (without the "t" at the end) to create a relationship with an actress, because based on his personal experience, actresses were not serious in life. Ironically, today, after a long time, although written as a comedy script, this event has something similar, albeit dramatic. Invited to one of the Albanian television panels, she has decided to tell her story. One thing that Mrs. Jonida had not done it before, because she has always felt the separation of her parents as personal, even today she feels affected by this story, and more or less like every child who grew up with separated parents, even sadder when she she failed to feel anything for her father because, according to her story, she knew who the biological father was, but she felt that it was a parental bond that was severed years ago. Agimi and Mirketa got to know each other and created a bond between them when they were at school in ILA. Both well-known actresses of our Albanian stage and screen, with many roles and interpretations, but unfortunately with the only role that they could not manage to interpret together, that of the two parents in real life. A love between two young people that ended quickly, after 9 months after they had given birth to their daughter Jonide. She was 23 years old, and with a 9-month-old baby, when Mrs. Mirketa had the misfortune of being separated. After this separation, especially her artistic life, seeing also the Albanian society of a conservative opinion, becomes somewhat complicated, prejudiced and why not perhaps this fact deprived the well-known actress of the "Skampes" troupe in few roles and activism with widely, especially in cinematography. She was shunned and to reduce her figure, she was sent as an actress to the Puppet Theater. It must be affirmed that we are a society that prejudices about the smallest things, not about morality. Even though they are painful events that can happen to anyone, our society remains behind. Therefore, her career was minimized, although in contrast to the wide acting ability of Mirketa Cobani. Jonida says that her mother, with whom she lived for a while in the USA, contrary to her roles interpreted as a stern nature, on the contrary, she is a woman full of dignity, loving and with a great soul. A strong, proud woman who coped and succeeded in raising and educating her daughter. She shows that the parental bond with the father is severed, even though she tried with all her strength to generate it, to restore it, even when mother and daughter met… although few meetings that brought the great absence between them theirs. In the impossibility, Ionides regretted that he did not get to know her father as a parent, detached from the artistic frame. Well, the late Agim Shuke has never denied that Jonida is his daughter. Jonida even has her in every identity document as his daughter. But grandmothers or mothers are not the ones who only bring you to life, but real parents are considered those who raise, educate and live with their baby. And Ionidas lacked a fatherly figure, this figure that should always be present, in every situation, celebration, joy or sorrow. Although Jonida grew up with her grandfather, finding in him a father model, she still felt the absence of her natural father. Agim Shuke was one of the great Albanian actresses, of that generation that made history not only in the theater but also in our cinematography. The departure from this life still today remains a mystery, with an undiscovered killer. With the loss of her father, Jonida says through tears that she has also lost the other half of her life. But what was the cause that brought about the separation between our two artists in 1970? Their daughter cites that faith and religious worldview greatly influenced the relationship to break. The grandmother, Agimi's mother, was a fanatical orthodox who never gave the blessing of this relationship, she never accepted that her son had a Muslim as his wife…. Considering the fact that religion and every belief was banned with force in 1968, the question arises: Is this the truth of religious faith? And Ms. Jonida mentions another detail in addition to religious belief, the allusion of an extramarital betrayal, which would eventually put an end to the relationship! But again, this was not the reason…. In such cases, a reason must always be found, a reason that leads to the justification for the separation of a couple. In fact, it was a relationship, a marriage between two young people, perhaps hasty, immature, that had begun to tear. Her parents, the more they lived together, the more they had nothing in common to keep them connected except a child. Both parents, according to their daughter's story, had made an attempt to overcome this obstacle, but without success. After the birth of her daughter, Mrs. Mirketa goes to her parents in Elbasan, never to return. Times have passed and generations of people have left this world, so today, after all that time, finding the fault or the culprit is something that has no meaning, moreover, it does not bring back the period of time to "wash away the sinners". After all, this is our life for each of us, for all of us, artists or not. Life itself is a journey with a one-way ticket, no return!
