Dramatic actor of Shkodra Theater “Migjeni” and Albanian Cinematography. Actor of the artistic constellation of the “Migjeni” Theater, but also well-known in the Albanian cinematography, although in secondary roles, but which he considered and interpreted with professionalism.

Nefail Piraniqi was born on March 18, 1940, in the city of Shkodra. Ever since he was a boy, will have a passion for the art of the stage, especially the Theater. Piraniqi attends from time to time, becoming a regular spectator of artistic performances at the Old Theater in Shkodër.

At the age of 18, the first steps in contact with art were made, exactly when he took part for the first time in an artistic event, in 1958, with the amateur ballet group of the city’s “House of Culture”, from where he continues here until 1964.

In the same year, Nefail starts as an amateur actor in the group of the Artisan-clothing Artistic Club, from where he will work with the well-known director of the “Migjeni” Theater, Violeta Sekuj.

Only in 1969, when he was 29 years old, he will realize his dream of being part of the professional troupe of the “Migjeni” Theater. For some time now, this temple of stage art has enjoyed golden years, having in its bosom wonderful actors, whose acting professionalism has aligned “Migjeni” side by side with the Albanian National Theatre.

Now Nefail is a part of this generation and who on the stage of this theater will perform more than 70 roles where we can mention the performance of the role of the Fanatic Boy in the comedy “The Happy Couple”, the role of Uncle Halil in the drama “The second Face” by Drita Agolli, the role of Hamza in “Nora” by Andrea Skanjeti, the role of Thoma in the comedy “”Një burr skarco”, the role of Ujku in “Shpartallimi”, etc.

He has played about 13 roles in cinematography, mostly second roles. Here we can mention the role of Pjeter in the television movie “Days that brought spring” in 1979, the role of Zefi in the movie “A night without light” in 1981, the role of Ali in the movie “Bridge near the Castle” in 1984, the role of Ndreu, the innkeeper in the film “The Uninvited” in 1985, the role of Driver in the film “Murder in Hunting” in 1987, etc.

In addition to his work as an actor, he has written articles on art in various newspapers such as “Jeta e Re”, “Puna”, “Zëri i popullit”, “Ushtima e Maleve”, “Cukali”, “Kukësi i Ri” and finally in the newspaper “Humori Shkodran”.

Nefail Piraniqi passed away on February 2, 1996, being separated from his beloved family, relatives, friends and colleagues, who remember the actor from Shkodra on every anniversary with respect for the contribution he made to the Albanian scene of performing arts, theater and film.
