Mimosa Nano
Director’s montage.
Born in Tirana on December 16, 1953. She completed her studies in language and literature at the University of Tirana and on September 13, 1976 she started working as an editor at the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”.
After a few years, she worked as an editing director, making about 10 feature films, starting with the first film “Balloons” – 1979 (co-author with P. Mato). Other films: “Threasure”- 1981 / “The first night of freedom” – 1984 / “Shadows that remain behind” – 1985 / “In the name of freedom” – 1987 / “One long year” – 1987 / “The return of the dead army” – 1989, etc.
Nano also worked in the editing of several documentary films. The last film edited by her is “The Collapse of Idols” – 1995.
NOTE : We do not have any information beyond the year 2002. However, the aim of this page is not to overlook and forget any name of our artists as far as we have the opportunity to remember them, always based on an accumulated information.
