The girl of the “Happy Couple” film or “Miss Rina” in the “Council of Godmothers”!
Born in Shkodër on March 9, 1950. She comes from a family that has art in their genes, her grandfather was a wonderful tenor, her father played the mandolin expertly. Marie Qyrsaqi is the granddaughter of the famous composer Pjetër Gaci, the granddaughter of the actor and screenwriter Lazër Filipi.
Other members of the family have also followed the path of art, one brother who lives in the USA is a painter and sculptor, the sister is a violinist in the Athens Orchestra and a lecturer at the German University of Music in Athens, the other two brothers, one plays guitar and the other is an architect.
From the time Marie started working at the Theater in 1968 and until recently, she is one of the main actors of the “Migjeni” Theater. This is what happened, in 1968, when she was working at the Paper Factory. She was 17 years old when she performed “Cuca” in an amateur theater festival with the drama “Cuca e Maleve”, winning the first prize. Marie also wins first prize with another role. After that she apparently attracts the attention of the theater managers by including her as a prob, which means being on probation for a year.
In fact, it has been a difficult period, especially in terms of mentality. A young girl, only 17 years old to be an actress in a fanatic mentality is not easy. On the other hand, the difficulties of work.
However, she succeeds.
Qyrsaqi was a 25-year-old girl when she was chosen to play the movie “The Happy Couple”.
“It was one of my most beautiful experiences playing that film. Three months of work and anxiety, dedication, desire, and why not, even worry. While after three months, when I saw myself in the film, I didn’t want to believe it” , she said.
The Happy Couple was a comedy in the 70s, a comedy by Bik Pepa, directed by the well-known Serafin Fanko completely a choice of his.
Here M. Qyrsaqi had the good fortune to work with a wonderful group of actors who helped each other. All the tickets were sold without exception hour before the show, the whole theater was full. The audience, who is the best evaluator of the work, gave her the best rating that among dozens of girls who pretended to play the bride in this unforgettable comedy of Bik Pepa.
Great joy for Maria. Then came the filming that lasted 3 months. This was the first experience in a film, difficult, but also beautiful. Even though a lot of time has passed since the early days when she shot the movie “The Happy Couple”, she is still called “the girl of the Happy Couple” or “Miss Rina” in “Keshilli i ndrikullave” with that role.
Just as much to remember the interpretation of Rina in the godmothers. It is one of the most beautiful pieces in the history of Albanian theater, the comedy was part of Sheri Mita and was staged by Serafin Fanko.
The brilliant interpretation of Tano and the other actresses in this show has left the author himself, “People’s Artist” Sheri Mita, speechless, who said: “This is not what I wrote”.
From 1975 to 1990, they almost forget it. However, Marie continues to practice as an actress. Even in the 90s, she performed one of the best roles, in the drama “Franku V”, where she plays the role of a girl whose life forces her to sell her body.
The director was Arben Kumbaro, one of the most talented directors.
