Ermir Krantja Conductor – "Merited Artist" / "Naim Farsheri i Arte" International Academic Award – "Ylli i Arte" He was born in Tirana on March 6, 1947. He is the son of the well-known conductor and People's Artist, Mustafa Krantja, student and assistant of V. Talich at the Academy of Music in Prague, the first conductor who founded the Institute of Orchestration in Albania after the war. In addition to other musical activities, he has also conducted the orchestra for the recording of music for about 25 Albanian feature films. Ermir Krantja grew up and was educated as a child under the influence of Czech and Slovak culture. He graduated in violin at the Tirana high school under the guidance of G. Bogdo, and successfully completed his studies in solfege with professor S. Gjoni. He also studied orchestra conducting, conducting under his father's advice, as well as musicology orchestration at the Academy of Arts. He graduated in 1970 with the highest grades obtained at the Academy of Arts, earning the position of conductor of the Albanian Radio Television Orchestra, from where he performed various artistic activities, conducting concerts and recordings. From 1975 to 1979, he took the place of conductor of the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra, while in In 1979 he was appointed director of the Theater and Opera Orchestra in Tirana and at the same time he was also a professor of music and conducting at the Academy of Arts. In v. In 1974, he received an award at the "May Concerts". In 1985, he was awarded the title "Honored Artist" by the Republic of Albania. In 1989, he was among a selection of the best conductors at a RAI event in Turin, having a meeting and exchange of ideas with other conductors such as Carlo Maria GIULINI, Raffael FRUEHBEC DE BURGOS and Ferdinand LEITNER. Verdi – Requiem etc. Ermir Krantja has managed to cooperate with these orchestras: the Theater and Opera Orchestra in Tirana, the Albanian Radio-Television Orchestra, the Shkodra Philharmonic, the Philharmonic of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, the Czech Symphony Orchestra (Prague), the Radio – Television of Pristina (Kosovo), Orchestra "Nova Amadeus" (Rome), Philharmonic of Skopje and Orchestra of the Opera Theater of Macedonia, of Ankara in Turkey, of Lece in Italy, of that in California, of Bar "la Camerata" G.
