Luan Rama
Screenwriter, publicist, researcher and diplomat.
Born in Tirana on January 5, 1952. Completed his studies at the University of Tirana in the journalism department.
In 1972, started working in the script office near Kinostudio as an editor.
After writing and editing some texts for film magazines, he became widely active in writing scripts for chronicling, documentary, artistic and cartoon films.
Thus, he wrote about 20 scripts for documentary films starting from 1974; about 10 scripts for cartoons and 4 for feature films.
Among the documentary films “Ne gjurme te nje tradite” – 1975 / “Ne Llogaj rreze alpeve” – 1976 / “Ishte dikur nje legjende” – 1976 / “Ku burojne melodite” – 1980 / “Ne gjurmet e nje historie” -1983 / “Kur flasim per poezine” – 1984 / “Vergmalet e eposit” – 1984 / “Deshmitari” (co-autore) – 1987 / “Deshmitari i dy epokave” – 1988 / “Ju pershendes” – 1988 etj. etc.
Among the scenarios of the cartoons:
“The Ox and the Wolf” – 1980 / “The Anger of the Letters” – 1981 / “Two Feasts” – 1982 / “Ilira” – 1983 etc.
While in the scenarios of feature films, they take part: “Girls with red ribbons” – 1978 / “Martyrs of monuments” – 1988 / “Bitter spring” -1985 / “One more life” – 1986 etc.
For a relatively long time, he worked as deputy director and artistic leader of Kinostudio. Rama has been constantly criticized by publishing many articles in various press bodies for Albanian and international cinematography.
In 1989, he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from there as a charge officer at the Albanian Embassy in Paris, France. temporarily separated from diplomatic activity and engaged in research work in Paris, writing a lot and publishing three books.
In 1997, he was appointed Ambassador of Albania to France.
