Ligoraq Riza
Actor of the theater “AZ Cajupi”, Korce. It has also been activated in several Albanian feature films.

Born in Bulgarec, Korce, on January 18, 1951. Studied acting at ILA, the High Institute of Arts in 1973. Then Riza works as an actor for two years, until 1975, at the “Zihni Sako” Theater, Gjirokaster.

In the period 1976 – 1988, he was an actor with Estrada of Pogradeci and then with the theater A. Z, Cajupi, in Korce.

In 2001, he covers the director’s post at the “Puppet Theater” in Korce.

In his career as an actor, he performed over 220 roles in theater performances, dramas, comedies, variety shows, skits, parodies, couplets, pantomime, in cinematography and television, in poetic theater, etc.

Among his most prominent roles we can mention: Azis Lazo in “It was a time of war”, author and director Bernard Kokalari, that of Santori Llorens in “According to the law”, Ixhariov in “The Gamblers” by Gogol, Cubukov in “Fejesa” of Chekhov.

As a parodist, he particularly stood out in the couplet “Ice Cream”, author Pellumb Kulla. In the “AZ Cajupi” theater, he has also performed memorable roles such as: the taxi driver in “Who steals a leg is lucky in love” by Dario Fo, Thoma Kacaroi in “Nje budalla e gjysem” by Dh. Psathas, Peti to “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Shakespeare, Usta Jaku to “Kopraci” by Moliere.

In 1993, at the national theater festival in Tirana, he received the “Aleksander Moisiu” award for the role of Picem in B. Brecht’s “Opera for three pennies”, in 2002, the “Xinxifillo” award for best direction at the national theater festival of dolls in Pogradec.

He has recited verses from Albanian and foreign poetry in various concerts and on “Korca” radio and television. As a director of the Puppet Theater, he staged 8 premieres.

His acting is distinguished by its simplicity, standing out for the source emotion, without straining and aiming for that characteristic thing that gives the characters physiognomy.
