Ndricim Xhepa Successful Albanian film actor of the 80's Born on January 21, 1957 in Tirana. Since he comes from a family of artists, he is passionate about performing from an early age. The son of the "People's Artist" Margarita Xhepes. He graduated from the Academy of Arts as an actor in 1979, and immediately after that he started working at the National Theatre. From the moment he was appointed to the theater, for almost three years he felt the "pleasure" of being only an extra in about 10-12 shows, in search of his artistic individuality, often not successfully. The first role in the theater, after three years only as an extra, was in "Kulla e Hutajve" However, this at the same time concretely shows that he was not for a moment the pet of fate as the child of an artist. Everything has been achieved through maximum spiritual preoccupation and extremely tedious work. At the age of 10, he managed to play four to five roles a year in films and in the theater. The beginnings did not have directors to launch and this is another significant fact. At first, he did not work with Anagnosti or Viktor Gjika or Vladimir Prifti and Kristaq Dhamo. But then from the beginning of v. 80s and especially during In the 1990s, she became one of the most prominent actresses in the dramatic and psychological field, especially in the theater where she performed more than 40 roles, among which we can single out Arsenin in R. Pulaha's drama "Under the Stage Lights". ; Prometheus in V. Eftimiu's "Prometheus" and to realize the passionate character of Romeo in Shakespeare's classic tragedy "Romeo and Juliet". A role presented with painful but also gloomy and conflicting tones, a tragic confrontation with fate, with oneself and the hostile environment as headstrong supporter of freedom and love. In 1995, he played the role of Fernando in the drama "Fernando Kraft wrote me a letter" by T. Dorsti. A role with which he reaches the highest points of his acting career in the theater, giving life to a complex and contradictory character who suffered his own ambivalence in relation to women, burdened by prejudices, alienation, prey to too much pride destructive on the one hand, commitment, "unrequited" love, jealousy, crippling alienation, on the other. In 2002, he played Dorian in "The Portrait of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. Then with the role of George Schneider in Neil Simon's lyrical comedy, "Chapter two", he changes the format, breaking the preferred model of his types until now, seeking expression now in the level of comedy and lyricism, with the sharp use of elegant of opposing approaches. In the drama "Closer" (Closer), in 2005, he showed, in addition to sensitivity and secret irritation towards himself and others, and a thin sense of irony, sarcasm against difficult and contradictory relationships in love. At the top of the two years, he performs two more roles where his skill seems to reach its peak, with the role of "A" in the part "Per nje kebo goje" in 2006 by Natali Sarrot, showing the ability to make the most of silence, high psychic attention and concentration, as well as a finely crafted second plan with the role of Astrovi in Cekhov's "Uncle Vanja" (2008) at the "Kronos Theater". In 2007, he played the role of Illyrian Demi in M. Luarasi's "White Crow". Other roles in the Theater: Robespierre in "Death of Danton", Hebi in "Death of a Commissioner"; Minister in "Shkallet"; The poet in "Pulebardha"; Escobar in "Death and the Virgin", Edmund in "King Lear", Greg in "Kujdes kihojon"; "Irons"; until I. Kadare's drama "The wrong dinner" in a role of the German officer Paul Vanshwabe. His career has also been very successful in film, performing about 30 main roles and being one of the most popular and popular actresses for years. The first film was "Counselors" in 1979, a simple role with a modest director like Xezair Dafa. I draw attention to the play of the psychological direction in the role of Fred in the film "Shadows that remain behind" (1982), with which I live the shock and suffering caused by alienation, hypocrisy and pressure towards the free expression of personality in a family barren of interests meanness and dishonesty. In 1988, he dramatically embodied the role of Tomas in "Butterflies in my cabin" where he presents a type of mischievous young driver, who, in a crime scene committed unintentionally, after a shock and deep reflection returns in its good essence and ends. Seven years after this role, he reaches one of his best interpretations, from the most well-realized, complex figures with diverse interpretative levels and strong emotional contrasts, like that of Alush Bey in "Sako's Wedding". Ndricim Xhepe's acting is dramatic and psychological, with an often explosive temperament, with a piercing eye, with words and gestures and mimicry in which a thought and a well-read subtext appear and are carried. An artistic creativity of over 30 years on stage and on screen. It is normal for there to be a difference between interpretations. For many reasons that it is not necessary to analyze, the roles differ from each other. But a good part of them have singled out their own awards, which are already 15 such, including film and theater festivals, annual awards and medals. Such memorable and exciting characters are Ben in "Shadows that remain behind", Toma in "Butterflies in my cabin", the German general in "The Return of the Dead Army", Alush Bey in "Sako's Wedding", Harun Bonata in "Dear enemy" or what was before, Arseni in "Love your name", Genci in "Shoket", Ardi in "Don't be silent", Astriti in "The train leaves at 7 to 5", Neritani in "Telefoni i ek morneh" ', David in "Porta Eva", closing the line of movie characters with the lead role Ilo Zoto, the character he plays in the movie "East, West, Lindje" directed by Gjergj Xhuvani. In the early 80s, N. Xhepa had the experience of film and stage collaboration with "Old Guard" actors such as Pitarka, Manushi, Roshi, Prosi, Prokop Mima, Pjetër Gjoka, Marie Logoreci, Ndrekë Shkezi, etc. Intentionally or unintentionally, the new in the profession definitely benefits from their experience. As they were colorful from each other, even to the new generation, and to Ndricim Xhepa, without realizing it, that picture has added to the experience and the personal picture. So, in relation to that great generation of actresses, of course, based on the relevant and different values they had, there should be affirmation and not denial, which does not happen with today's generation. Here's what he thinks about the new generation of actresses: "Often there are elements of thuggishness, denial and unsubstantiated arrogance. They don't understand that this craft takes decades to consolidate and complete professionally. Absolutely, boys and girls, young men and women, who understand very well that this road is long and therefore reflect politeness, citizenship, respect and kindness, feel it too. To be mentioned, in the 90's he performed leading roles in independent productions such as "Caution! It bites…" by Gerni, "The beautiful queen" by Mc. Donagh, "Tomorrow we leave for heaven" by T. Dervish and "Infidelity" by Pinter. While at the Theater of Nations in Skopje, he performed in "King Lear" by Shakespeare. Since 1988, he has been an external lecturer at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Performing Arts. In the 5th and 6th Film Festivals, he is a medal winner for actor. Three times winner of the Cup for the Best Actor at the Film Festivals in 1987, 1989 and 2000. Winner of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" Award for the Best Actor at the National Theater Festival in 1995 and the Award for the Best Actor at the Festival of Acting "Apollon 2004". For his artistic career, he was honored with the title "Merited Artist" Filmography Keshilltaret – 1979; The Good Man – (1982); Friends – (1982) ; Distant Time – (1983) ; Love Your Name – (1984) ; Decision – (1984). ; Our Enver – 1985; Don't be silent – (1985) ; Shadows That Remain Behind- (1985); Three Days in a Life – (1986) One Morning Phone – (1987) The Train Leaves at Seven to Five – (1988).
