Kudret Alikaj
One of the actors as well as leaders who made a significant contribution to the artistic life of the Professional Theater ‘Zihni Sako’.
He stood out for his dedication not only in the interpretation of roles, but also in managing and raising the performance of the activities numerous artistic events organized in Gjirokaster, as well as the number of shows placed on the stage of the “Zihni Sako” Theater.
Kudret Alikaj was born on October 25, 1958 and completed his higher studies in the years 1981-1985, near the Higher Academy of Arts, drama branch in Tirana. In the years 1985-1991, Alikaj would engage and be part of the Variety Theater Troupe, performing dozens of shows and premieres, which have best deserved the applause of the public, who continued to support him even when Kudret Alikaj was appointed an actor with the Professional Theater Troupe in 2013.
In the years 1991-1993, Alikaj was appointed director of the Palace of Culture in Gjirokaster. His career at the Professional Theater would mark a large number of shows and premieres skillfully performed by him where he revealed his talent, dedication and simultaneously many emotions in the audience, thanks to his artistic performance which he merged into the successful realization of many roles in different genres, such as comedy, drama or tragedy.
In addition to his work as an actor, Kudret Alikaj is also known as the director of several premieres set on the stage of the “Zihni Sako” Theater, while in 1994 with the drama “The First and the Last” in the role of the director, he participated in the first meeting pan-Albanian organized in Tirana, where it was evaluated as one of the 5 shows selected, while two other registrars realized with the Suke from his side of the shows “Not all thieves come to harm” and “Emigrants” are mentioned, while in the year 1988 Alikaj will be found as a lecturer and reciter at the Opening of the National Folk Festival.
In 2014, Kudret Alikaj was appointed Director of Culture at Gjirokaster Municipality. In 2016, he was appointed Director of the Culture Agency, this appointment was accompanied by his hard work, where thanks to his individual perseverance, the “Zihni Sako” Theater returned to its identity, where the number of premieres and performances set for the public exceeded expectations within a very short time, this is not only from the achievements made by this Troupe, but also thanks to the cooperation with other Theaters inside and outside Albania.
Kudret Alikaj remains one of the artists who stood out for his dedication and contribution, which today are considered an integral part of the 50-year history of the Professional Theater “Zihni Sako”.
