Josif Kromidha (1930-2008)
Of course, we have seen his name written in many Albanian films or documentaries. This is the producer of the Kinostudio film “Shqiperia e Re”, a great name that occupies an important place in the history of Albanian film.

Kromidha was born on November 9, 1930. He completed general secondary education. In 1954, he started working at the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”, first in the lighting department and later as an administrator of the film crews of documentary and chronical films.
In 1966, he started as a sub-director in the feature film “Echoes in the Coast” and until 1986 directed the filming of 25 feature movie as a producer.
At the same time, he also worked in documentary film, and in the last years 1986-1990 in the branch of feature film production. Among the Kinostudio films bearing his signature as a producer, we can mention:
“Why does this drum beat” – 1969; “Mornings of war” – 1971; “White roads” – 1974; “At the beginning of summer” – 1975; “Threads that are cut” – 1976; “Lady from the city” – 1976; “The Fall of the Idols” – 1977; “Girls with red ribbons” – 1978; “The Radio station” – 1979; “Old Cartridge” -1980; “In every season” – 1980; “After death” – 1980; “A name among people” – 1983; “Blerte’s Engagement” – 1984; “On the verge of life” – 1985; “Bitter Spring” – 1985; Strange Wedding (1986); “When you are separated from your friends” – 1986. Josif Kromidha retires in 1990, after a 36-year career in Kinostudio, from where he then started a private business.
Passed away on September 24, 2008, leaving behind with decades of hard work a contribution to Kinostudio as the only house of Albanian film, an indisputable part of the people and the national wealth of the Albanians.
