Jetmira Dusha
Actress of Albanian Theater and Cinema.
Born in Fier on April 4, 1955. She got in touch with art when she was 8 years old at school, where Dusha was active in recitation and from where she was evaluated with first prizes.
Having this ability, they send her through various congresses, youth, professional associations, women’s, etc. (along with some other names that will become known as actresses: Sokol Angjeli; Zef Bushati);
Jetmira continues his secondary pedagogical school in Tirana without separating from the different artistic activity of recitation. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this school, the well-known director Esat Okstrova was among many different personalities at this party. Jetmira stands out as a girl with artistic values and is invited to appear at the Academy of Arts for an exam.
Jetmira liked to continue in the branch of literary language, law and architecture, while the competition for actress in this Academy came to her quite suddenly. However, in the first year of the competition, even though she was very well prepared, she did not win, but she did not get discouraged by attending an acting course near the Theater.
Only after a year of working as an actress in Fier, she will return to Tirana again, this time as a winner in the competition for actors at the Academy of Arts.
After completing her studies at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana, in 1980 she started working directly as an actress in the “Popular Theater” (today the National Theater). At this stage, Dusha has played over 20 roles. Her first role in the theater will be Dea in “Dea’s Last Tragedy”, an episodic role that was appreciated and taken very seriously by the actress.
That same year, 1980, she will also play the first role in the film “New Mornings”, a leading role together with the other actor Kastriot Caushi.
The quality of the actress Jetmira Dusha has been the seriousness of the roles, regardless of big or small, she knew how to get inside them, to interpret them in a way that would remain unforgettable. Dusha has also distinguished himself in the genre of comedy, such as in the films “After Death” (1980), “Dream of a Chair” (1984) or in the theater “The Lawyer’s Marriage”, and “Titanic Waltz”, the latter unfortunately not recorded in TV with her role in that variant. She performs in 10 feature films, where three are the main roles.
We can mention some of the films where she acted and stood out, such as: “New Mornings” – Nora (1980); “After death (1980); “Old Cartridge” (1980); “When a movie was shot” – Life (1981); “Dream of a chair” – Moza (1984); “Footprints in the snow” – nursing (1984); “Chronicle of those years” (1986); “Three men cross over the mountain” (1988); “Shpresa” (1988). (1989); “Elastic Boy” – Mother (1989);
In 1990 she emigrated to Germany. After a few years, returned and got a job at the National Cultural Center in Tirana. Even after returning to Albania, she does not take part in theater or film, feeling the lack of the stage.
