In memory of the actor Minella Borova (1947-2013)!

#KinematografiaShqiptare Minella Borova (1947 – 2013) Successful actor of the "AZ Cajupi" theater, Korce and Albanian cinematography. He was born in Korce on February 22, 1947. He also held the position of teacher and critic. In 1969, he completed his studies at ILA (Higher Institute of Arts) in Tirana. In the Korce Theater "AZ Çajupi", he was for more than 10 years as a part actor of this troupe, until 1979 and then he worked as a teacher of "Acting Mastery" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana for 10 years until v. 1989. He was also a Theater specialist in the Ministry of Culture until 1991. As an actor, his first role in the Theater was Lirim in the drama "Njollat e Murme" in 1969, play by F. Pacram, staged by M. Luarasi. With this drama, he also wins the award as the best "New Actor". He is distinguished as an actor in the satirical but also in the lyrical and romantic. In his artistic career, he performed about 50 roles on the stage of the theater, where he stood out in "The Invincibles" – Leka (1970), "Mosha e bardhe" – Martini (1972), "Enjejt e sketterres" – Stanley Korr (1972) ), "Bullets of letters" – Mesuesi (1974), "Accused city" – the investigator (1978), "Three days of chemistry" – Vehapi (1984); as well as in the role of Raq in Ruzhdi Pulaha's "Teacher of Literature" in 1986, etc. In 2007, after a break of about 15 years, he returns to the theater stage in the role of the protagonist in "Waiting for the Moon" by Karlos Maria Alsina, a play with which he reaffirms his talent as a theater actor who knows how to interpret and interweave the psychological levels very well with the satirical ones. However, Minella Borova will gain a stronger name as a feature film actor by performing a series of significant roles, figures and different characters, from which we can single out the films "Journey to Spring"; "The third"; "Forest of freedom"; and especially in the role of a fascist officer in the film "At the beginning of summer". In Film, in 1970, she played the role of a welder in "Montatorja", a year later she had an episodic role in "Mengjeze lufte", then she interpreted a total of about 30 characters in Albanian cinematography. During the years of the Albanian transition, more precisely in In 1993, he emigrated to Argentina for about 15 years, to return to his country again in 2006, starting work as a theater specialist at the "Pjeter Arbnori" International Culture Center. Even in Argentina, he performed in the "San Martin" theater in Buenos Aires, theater pieces which he brought to several national and international festivals organized in Albania in the cities of Tirana, Elbasan, Pogradec, Kosovo, and abroad in Macedonia. Passed away on June 30, 2013 in Buenos Aires at the age of 66. He also wrote a volume of poems "Where two oceans kiss", as his first book… Films: Montatorja, (1970 – Welder).
