Dhimitra Plasari (1952-2016)
Actress of the “Andon Z. Cajupi” Theater, Korce, as well as being active in a considerable number of Albanian films of the Kinostudio.

Born on August 20, 1952, in the village of Bulgarec in Korça. She completed her studies at the High Institute of Arts for actresses in Tirana. One of the most prominent actresse of the “AZ Cajupi” Theater in this city.

There are many roles in theatrical performances with this troupe alongside the big names that have made the history of this theater: Pandi Raidhi, Dhorkë e Dhimiter Orgocka, Vani Trako, Vangjel Grabocka, Jani e Petrika Riza, Stavri Shkurti, Thimi Filipi, Sotiraq Bratko, etc.

Dhimitra Plasari is remembered by all the general spectators of the Albanian performing arts, as a well-formed intellectual and one of the outstanding actresses with professional skills on the stage-shows and filming locations of Albanian feature films.

She also became known in the feature film, acting in 1972 in an episodic role in “Stars of long nights”. A year later in “Alleys that sought the sun” (1975) and then in 1976 in “The Last Winter” (Lulja) and in the same year in the films “Coping”, “Forest of freedom” and “Courriers”.
Then Plasari will continue in the movies of Kinostudio, in “New Shelter” (1977), “Girls with red ribon” (1978) as Teuta, “An event in the lake” (1982) as Drita will be the last role her on the TV screen.

The actress from Korca, Dhimitra Plasari also performs her roles on the screen alongside well-known names of Albanian cinematography such as: Sander Prosi, Kadri Roshi, Tinka Kurti, Margarita Xhepa , Reshat Arbana, Lazer Filipi, etc.

Her funny joke in the film “Coping” has remained in the history of cinema:
“These friends did not invite us and made a mistake, but we came by ourselves, we are half of the village in, o Tare”.

Dh. Plasari passed away on April 20, 2016 at the age of 64.
