Hajrie Rondo (1951-2017)
Prominent Albanian theater and cinematographer actress.

She was born on March 1, 1951 in Delvina. She left Delvina when she was 18 years old, married in Himare, but she lived and raised in Fier all her life. Fieri raised her, made her an actress, affirming her, she made her career in Fieri, she spent 40 years in this city, so Fieri was the greatest spiritual thing for the actress.

She already remains an actress, part of that golden generation of the Albanian scene, which does not need epithets. An actress with a wide range of interpretation in all genres of stage art, in film, theater, drama but also comedy and telecomedy. She was a legend, icon of the “Bylis” theater in the city of Fier, with 40 years on the stage of this theater, and with 120 roles performed. She has been an actress in this theater since the age of 20, (1971), the building which has been an inexplicable spiritual part of her career.

A life full of artistic activities in this city, especially during the period of the system where a number of performances were required, a highly corrective schedule was required in the morning, performances were required in the village, parallel work, filming, a series of activities outside the theater program, working sometimes as a moderator of this troupe but also as an actress.

A real marathon of activity. However, the scene did not tire her but made her stronger. Hajrie Rondo graduated from the Academy of Arts an acting brunch. In general, during her studies she played character roles.

Her first role, “Mulliri i Kostë Barbit”, was the role of a girl, where the topic of the drama was from LANÇ. Rondo was in his second year. It seems that this role paved the way for the stage. Then she plays in “Mosha e Bardhë” by Mihallaq Luarasi. In this drama she plays a leading role, again the role of a girl. From role to role she felt more confident. In Gogol’s “Revizori”, which was staged by Birçe Hasko, she plays a character role. A mechanic’s wife who had such a rebellion this character after her husband was fired.

Already at the Academy of Arts, the directors picketed the talents. Thus, in her beginnings, she played a part of Gogol, a character role, staged by her respected professor Birçe Hasko. But also Teodor Laço’s “Dream of that winter” was such a prominent role that Rondo played with great professionalism. It should be mentioned that once in a Festival she played two roles as the role of Rruza, and also a typical old Labe woman, stern but proud and loving who did not give herself away. These were the starting roles that paved her way to success. Her professors who will influence her will be two special names, among others, Drita Agolli and Birce Hasko. She played for the first time in the National Theater in 1972, at the age of 21, in the drama “Heroes of Linas”, by Sulejman Pitarka.

“Pain of love” (2008) series;
“We and Lenin” (2009), Semihaja;
“Balkan Pazar” (2011)

In 2003, she was the director of “Bylis” Theatre. In 2011 she retired. After many vicissitudes and in a long struggle for life (2014), she won the battle with a serious illness. In May 2015, Hajrie Rondo returns to the scene with a comedy written by director Leka Bungo “Sex only for holidays”.

The actress passed away on September 9, 2017. ____________________
