XHINA LOLOBRIXHIDA – Gina Lollobrigida (1927-2023), or Luigia Lollobrigida, "Star" of World Cinema, "sex symbol" actress of the 50s-60s. He was born in a province of Rome, in Subiaco on July 4, 1927. In the mid-1980s, she starred in the television series "Falcon Crest" in the role of Francesca Gioberti, a role originally written for Sophia Loren, who had turned it down. For the role, she received a third Golden Globe nomination. She also had a supporting role in the 1985 television miniseries Deceptions, opposite Stefanie Powers. A year later, he appeared as a guest star in the TV series "The Love Boat". In 1986, she was invited to preside over the jury at the 36th Berlin International Film Festival, where the Golden Bear was awarded to Reinhard Hauff's Stammheim. She said the majority decision was "prefabricated" and challenged it. In the 1990s, he made several small appearances in French film and continued to participate in international film festivals. By the late 1970s, Lollobrigida had launched what developed into a successful second career as a photojournalist. She has photographed, among others, Paul Newman, Salvador Dalí, Henry Kissinger, David Cassidy, Audrey Hepburn, Ella Fitzgerald and the German national soccer team. In 1974 he managed to get an exclusive interview with the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Between 1972 and 1994 she published six collections of her photographs, including the 1973 title "My Italy". AWARDS AND TITLES Lollobrigida was awarded the title of "Légion d'Honneur" by François Mitterrand. On October 16, 1999, Lollobrigida was appointed Goodwill Ambassador of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. On February 1, 2018, Lollobrigida received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Passed away on January 16, 2023.
