Gëzim Qëndro (1957 – 2008) Painter, director of the animated film and Teacher at the Academy of Arts. He was born on December 22, 1957. He graduated from the Artistic High School "Jordan Misja" in Tirana, majoring in painting. He also completed his higher studies for one year at the Academy of Fine Arts, finishing them at the V/d Beeldenke Kunsten Academy in Amsterdam, Holland during the period 1992-1996. 
On January 30, 1980, he started working as a painter in the department of cartoons near Kinostudio "New Albania", later called AlbaFilm Animacion. In 1984, he made his first film as a painter, "Perandoria kokeposhte", where he was awarded the Medallion for his drawings at the 6th Festival of Drawing Film. His first film as a painter and director was in 1986, "Inspiration", continuing with other films such as: "Pipiruku ne hambar" (1988), "Kampioni" (1989) etc. of this "Panarama" magazine, the organ of this gallery. 
At the same time, he is the author of many articles and translations based on different press bodies. As a painter, she has participated in several painting exhibitions inside and outside Albania, such as 4 in Holland (1994-1995); in the Grado exhibition in Italy (1996) as well as 4 exhibitions in Tirana Onufri, that of Photography Marubi gallery XXI in 1998 etc. He passed away on February 27, 2018. ________________ Albanian Cinematography since 2013 Reference: Encyclopedia of Albanian Cinematography – Toena 2002 / AT Hoxha / p. 325.
