Fadil Kujovska (February 14, 1951 – October 30, 2014)
Successful actor in the field of theater and comedy, but also well-known in cinematography.
“Since I was a student at school, they told me: “what role do you want to play”? I told them Skanderbeg, but they were surprised by telling me that Skanderbeg must be tall, powerful… I told them that today I am still “small” at school and if I lose weight now that I am a student, no one gives me credit in the Theater. However, if I don’t play it on stage, I will play this role on the radio ”
Fadil Kujovska was born on February 14, 1951, in Tirana.
In 1974, he finished his studies at the High Institute of Arts (today the Academy of Arts) and then started working as a professional actor in the “Teatri Popullor” (today the National Theatre). A professional actor, who brought the best values to the theater scene and Albanian cinematography, was not absent in the drama “The Dream of Ismail Qemali”.
In Theater he has a rich gallery of characters, among the most prominent in his artistic career are the performances in the comedies “Twelfth Night”, “After Death”, “Titanic Waltz”, “Lawyer’s Marriage”, “Uninvited Friends”. , or the dramas “Furrnalta”, “Hekurat”, “Filumena Marturano”, etc.
He stands out in the role of the Chinese Shur in the drama “Furrnalta” and also in the role of Sir Tobi in the drama “Twelfth Night” by Shakespeare. His most recent performance in the Theater will be during the 2008/2009 theater season in the masterpiece of the Italian playwright, Eduardo de Filipo “Filumena Maturano” in the role of lawyer Nocela.
In cinematography, his first role will be when he was only 19 years old, in 1970, when he will play the role of Kujtim in the film “Trace”. The most recent role of the actor Fadil Kujofsa will be in the TV comedy “The old boat” in 2005.
The artistic and stage history has proven that every new role that has been entrusted to him has been interpreted with skill and creativity by the professional. Fortunately, Fadil has been an actor who has had an above average workload. Many other roles have remained in the memory of the public and have gained its trust. Zveiku in 1978, doctor Adhamdhi in the comedy “After Death”, Cuku in “Dy here mat” etc.
Of course, in recent years, the problems that the theater has had have also manifested themselves in the commitment of all the actors. He has had roles that are achieved, but also some that should have been better, for which there are many factors of non-realism. Albanian theater has had great actors of small roles. Along with actors like Mihal Stefa, Ndrek Shkejzi, etc., there is also Fadil Kujofsa himself who filled the stage with pride. Albanian cinema has no complete meaning without these actors.
The actor passed away on October 30, 2014
