Eglantina Kume Actress and editing director. He was born on January 21, 1950 in Durrës, where he also finished high school. She graduated from the High Institute of Arts for actresses. In fact, her career as an actress was short, in the full sense of the word a "meteor" of our scene, but the film "Ngadhenjim mubi death" as the protagonist has left an impact not only in Albanian cinematography but also in distant China. The charming girl who became an icon of an Albanian film in the 60s, when she was a high school senior, never thought that the recitations of her early youth would bring her closer to the cinematographic camera at a dizzying speed. At the same time, she was one of the most active girls in the theater groups of the school and the Pioneer House in the city of Durres. The course of her life changed suddenly, when in the school yard she ended up in front of the camera of one of the most prominent directors of Albanian cinema. Master Dhimitër Anagnosti, who was shooting "Silent Duel", asked high school graduate Eglantina Kume to play one of the few episodic roles in the film that relies entirely on the four outstanding actors Ndrek Luca, Rikard Ljarja, Reshat Arbana and Bujar Kapexhiu. After two days, she is on the set, which was at the iron door of the seaport, right in front of the state bank. The dialogue of a simple citizen girl with her sailor fiance that opens the film "Silent Duel" has actually baptized Eglantina Kumen in her first role, but most of all it opened her dream to study at the High Institute of Arts . The prominent actor from Durrës, Spiro Urumi, was her first teacher of artistic speech. Two months after the episodic shooting of "Silent Duel", the proposal for the screening of the new film "Ngadhnjim over the death" arrives. Director Gëzim Erebara needed a young, simple and innocent girl for the role of Mira Korani, who embodied the heroine Bule Naipi. Eglantina, now a student (not an established actress), returns to filming this time in the role of a protagonist, again in 1967, her lucky year. Only after three screenings did Erebara decide that the high school student from Durrës should start shooting for the film that would make Eglantina Kumen known as far away as China. Eglantina Kume's connections as an actress with cinema, the seventh art, were severed after finishing the Institute of Arts. Appointed to VAT. The director of that time, Todi Lubonja and the director Mihal Luarasi had planned to create a core of actors of a telespectacle, stopping then in 1972. Meanwhile, she had participated in the films "The Riflemen's Valley" and "The Stars of the Long Nights" and was preparing for the first TV shows. But everything failed immediately after the sensational arrest of Lubonja and Luarasi. The change of appointment as a director of TV shows put an end to the old dream, just when I graduated in this branch. At the beginning of v. In the 1970s, in the only Albanian television media, TVSH, she was the director of shows for children, which at that time occupied much more space in the program than today. She directed the show herself and in the broadcast of films for children, she dubbed the voices of the characters with her own voice, thanks to her acting training. She often directed shows of other columns in parallel with her work as a director. But Eglantina Kume cannot help but remember her great pledge, the forced departure from acting creativity. In 1975, she left VATS as one of the 150 staff who were cut by order from above, but who was appointed to the "New Albania" movie studio as an editing director. However, for another 16 years, she would not be in front of the camera as an actress. In 1991, Eglantina and her violinist husband, Fatmiri, emigrated to Greece. In 2007, a Chinese TV station invited him to travel to the great Asian country. A well-known director was working on a series of broadcasts on films from his native countries that reflected the war. The film "Ngadënjim sur death" took place in this group. Something she herself had heard about the reception of this film in China. Her husband, Fatmiri, who had traveled as an instrumentalist in several cities in 1969, had informed her about the success of "Ngadënjimi". Lately, he compensated for the lack of art with literature. The screen artist has written five books of poetry and prose. She has won the "Kadmus" award, while the last book of stories is titled "Rëfimet e Athinas" and was published by the "Toena" publishing house. A few years ago, she was lucky enough to play the role of an Albanian mother in a Greek television series, something that gave Eglantine indescribable emotions and nostalgia during the filming of this series. After many sacrifices, the beloved profession did not leave him in the mud. Egla is employed as a speaker in Vodafone mobile phone programs in the Albanian language, where she worked for several years. As an actress: "Silent Duel" – 1967; "Ngadhenjim over the death" – 1967 "Valley of riflemen" – 1970; "The stars of the long nights" – 1973 "Hearts that never grow old" – (1977) As an editor: The bride and the curfew, ( 1978); Gramophone General, (1978) Nothing is Forgotten, (1985; Stone of Faith, (1986); Binaryt, (1987) _________________ Albanian cinematography in activity since 2013 Reference: Online interview of the actress herself in February 2014; the material was revised in May 2016 as well as in subsequent years.
