Donika Franja
Actress of the Theater “Migjeni” Shkoder.
“Tanusha”, the daughter of the Blue King in the drama “Gjaku i Arberit” was born on December 7, 1944 in Shkoder. The beautiful actress, who immediately aroused the sympathy of the spectators not only by her performance, where she was distinguished by her resounding voice, developed her artistic activity, mainly on the stage of the “Migjeni” theater in the 70s until the mid-80s.
She was active in various dramas, embodying accomplished figures and characters, although he performed secondary roles. Thus we can mention: “Fisheku ne paje” – 1973 in the role of Dielle, (dubbed in other shows also by her partner, the late actress Ana Gjini), written by Fadil Kraja, a show that caused a stir and achieved a great success; a year later in the drama “Shpartallimi” – 1974, or the role of the prime minister’s wife in the other play “Drenusha e Drenices” – 1978, etc.;

In the 80s, she continued her performance on the stage of the “Migjeni” theater, being active in comedy (Sa afer paske qene) or any show with the variety troupe. That’s how she took part in the “Song of proud pain” – 1980 in the interpretation of poems and prose by MIGJENI together with other actresses of this theater.
Then we remember the performance of Shyrete in the show “All Laughing” – 1984 (also dubbed by the well-known actress Mirjam Bruceti); in “Ceshtja e Blertes”, the bride of one of Blerte’s brothers, in the role of Angustia in “Bernarda Alba’s House” – 1986, etc.
But it must be said that the spectator of the 80s remembers Mrs. Donika Franja well in the interpretation master in the role of Tanusha, the daughter of the blue king, in the drama written by prof. Fadil Kraja “Gjaku i Arberit” – 1982, (written in 1981 and recorded in Tvsh in 1985), where her interpretation with temperament stands out for the truth of the role from her way of reacting to a capricious girl who has fallen in love and persistently seeks to make Pal of the land of Arberi (interpreted by B. Shllaku) who has been conquered by her father’s army, the blue king (interpreted by R. Rama), at any cost.
She had the good fortune to perform alongside the luminaries, Shkodra artists from Lec Bushati, Tinka Kurti, Serafin Fanko, Viktor Bruceti, etc.
In cinematography, she played an episodic role in the movie “The Militant”.
