Leka Bungo Director, actor and screenwriter. He was born in Vlore on February 28, 1944. He graduated as an actor at "Aleksander Moisiu" and then at the Institute of Fine Arts in Tirana for directing. After graduation, he worked as a director at the "Petro Marko" theater in Vlorë, and in 1971, after the creation of the "Bylis" theater in Fier, he became its director. In 1973, he staged Dusha's drama "The Story of a Girl", but this play turned out to be a sad event in his life, as it was not well received by the state authorities of the time, where he was criticized for his liberal attitudes in art. 
Bungo was sent to Patos, sentenced to physical labor, as part of re-education. Then he found himself in the house of culture in Patos and in the 80s he returned to Tirana where he was appointed a director at the State Estrada, in which he staged several shows, which touched on acute social problems of the time and where satire was their most present element. He appears on the movie screen since 1966 in "Oshetime ne pstost" and many years later (1990) in the movie "A boy and a girl". 
In the theater he plays in 1980 in the drama "Infidelity". After the 90s, he produced several television shows, laced with political humor, satirizing the political phenomena of a class regime already overthrown, but which still had strong influences on the new post-communist reality created in Albania. During this time, he created, in the entrance hall of the National Theater building, the private theater "Rubairat", but it soon lost its artistic destination as such, until it was closed in 2001 with the reconstruction of the halls of this theater. Leka Bungo also wrote the screenplays of several films and telecomedies: "Three people with faces" (1985); "Mirela" (1988); "The Last Hunt" (1991); "Behind the facade" (1992); "Carli Caplini in Albania". In 1998 he co-founded a private television station, where he worked as its director. In 2001, he was elected a member of the Board of Directors of RTSH. He was honored with the title "Honorary Citizen of Fier".
