Portrait of the artist Bujar Kapexhiu!

Bujar Kapexhiu. Director, screenwriter, actor, cartoonist and caricaturist. He was born on March 22, 1944 in Tirana. Kapexhiu studied as an actor at the high school near the National Theatre, as well as the postgraduate course for a director there. In 1968, he started working as a director at the Tirana Variety Theatre, where he wrote many skits, parodies, couplets, as well as cartooning for the press. After a 2-year period of leaving Tirana, due to the "liberal and modernist shows", at the 11th Song Festival at RTSH, where he was the author of the text and a presenter, he works in production. Then they thought that this boy was educated and returned him to Kinostudio, where in 1975 the animated film studio was opened, in which he worked there for 10 years, then moved to the feature film. The first animated film is "Pika e ujiti", 1976. For its realization, he collaborated for the first time as a director, with Tomi Vaso as cameraman and painter Vlas Dobroniku. After that, he made the film "Zhgarravina", which is considered the first film made with drawings, in the classic technique of "Walt Disney". So he created the drawings, the script and the direction, being awarded the First Prize of the III Balkan Film Festival organized in Istanbul, Turkey, 1979; with the Cup of the III Albanian Film Festival, April 21-28, 1979, as well as with a prize in Naples, Italy in 1984. Until 1985, he shot about 20 cartoons, in most of which he is the screenwriter, or co-screenwriter, director and painter; among them, "Pipiruku", the beloved character for children, created by him, stands out. "Pipiruku is waiting for 2 friends", was awarded second prize at the 6th Documentary and Cartoon Film Festival. After 1985, he devoted himself to the genre of film comedy, standing out for his outstanding individuality. In a fairly short time, he shot four feature films: "Dy korto mat", 1986, "Violin Strings", 1987, "Stolat na park", 1988, "Even so, even so", 1989. As an actor, he appeared in the movie "Silent Duel" in 1976, quite young when he was still a student. Then he performed in three other films, where among the most prominent roles is that of Ilo Pinci, the chess player and expert of the miles in "Dy here mat" (1986) Filmi Si regizizor: Even so so so so so (1989); Park Benches (1988); Violin Strings (1987); Twice Mate (1986); Drawing Chalice of Wheat (1976); Lisharsi (1976); Majlinda and the Little Bird (1976); Water Drop (1976); "Own goal" (1981); "When the boss catches fire" (1980); "Scribbles"; "Pipiruku" etc. As a screenwriter: Even so and so (1989); Twice Mate (1986); Own goal (1981) (Drawing); "Kur shefi mer flame" (1980) (Cartoon) Interpretations Silent Duel (1967)….Bepini; Footprint (1970)……; Eighth in bronze (1970)…..
