Bukuroshe Kokalari
Actress and director at the “Zihni Sako” Theater, Gjirokaster. She acted in several films of Kinostudio.
Born on August 5, 1940, and is considered one of the “icons” of the Girokaster Theater. She completed her studies at the “Aleksander Moisiu” High School in 1964, at which time she would immediately start working as an actress in Estrada of Gjirokastra.
Thanks to the many roles and interpretations, she would create a gallery of figures liked by the spectators not only in the city, but also in the countryside.
After 4 years of dedication to Estrada, in 1968 Bukuroshe Kokalari will start work on the creation of the Professional Theater, in which she will be its first actress. Regardless of this fact and the importance of the position, she would stand out among the work for years for her modesty and talent.
In her career, Bukuroshe Kokalari has performed over 60 performances where her range of acting has stood out, for which she has been awarded a number of diplomas and commendations.
Kokalari performed in 1979 in the TV movie “Shterngata ne mal” and in 1988 in “Shkelqim i perkoheshem”.
Thanks to her work and professionalism, Bukuroshe Kokalari was evaluated by the People’s Assembly with the “Naim Frasheri” medal, while even today she is a figure and name that enjoys respect from the Girokastra community. In addition to her roles, Bukuroshe Kokalari has also staged several premieres as a director.
