In order to achieve success on the stage of the "Migjeni" Theater, he had to describe a not very easy path. He worked: driver, storekeeper, props, bartender… But the dream of becoming an actor resembled the light of that star, which could not become a meteor…. Thus, he successfully performed in 40 premieres from the national and foreign repertoire. He stands out as a comic actor in dilettante groups in v. 1924-1925 in Shkoder in the company of the Theater "Shkodra" as well as with the company "Vllaznia" in the years 1935-1939. For this play, the writer Kolë Jakova, among others, writes: "The figure that stands out in this play is the one created by the actor Adem Kastrati. He tried to embody a miser, a man out of time, a man we once knew, when the law of money ruled. This anachronistic man with his cracked jokes, with his already funny mentality, kept the show going." (Kolë Jakova, article: "Critical notes", gas. "Drita", 10.10.1963.) In the memories of director Andrea Skanjeti, People's Artist "I can say that he was among the actors who stayed on stage more than others. I have an indelible memory of Hasan's role in "Ali Pasha Tepelena" (year 1936), in the role of the guardian, in "Andrra e 500-vyotvetu", of the principle in "Parimori", etc., these characters were created with such authenticity and originality. It stood out more in the comic profile. Ademi had little schooling, but was intelligent, and with a great passion for the theater. His intuition had a spontaneous bent, which shone through on stage. He had traveled to several countries, such as Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Yugoslavia. He knew several languages, which he spoke easily, such as: Italian, Slavic, German". An actor, slightly eccentric, who weighed over 120 kg. Not only that, but that great body mass (add the facial expression too), you could only see him in motion: without saying a word, without making any gesticulation; to create a sense of humor. "Isn't the actor Kastrati the brother of Oliver Hardin?!" He changed his life on June 14, 1972, just a few months after he retired. __________________ Albanian cinematography a public page in activity since 2013 Simbas: "Memory of a city" – Alba, 2019 / Xh.
