In 1997, he will be appointed Director of the Department of Film and Spectacle at the Albanian Public Television. In 2000, he left his homeland for Canada. In the theater he will perform several roles with the troupe of the Theater of the Higher Institute of Arts (today the Academy of Arts), such as the role of Kronstadt in the drama "Doll's House" or the role of the Investigator in the drama "Death of a Girl". In cinematography, his first role as an actor will be that of Vaso in the film "Brothers and Friends" in 1980. Other interpretations would continue, such as the role of Aristotle in the television film "Dawns of the Great Season". , Gjergji in the movie "Red Faith", Andrea in the movie "In the name of freedom", Pirro in the movie "Hope", etc. In directing, his first participation will be as an actor/second director in the movie "Old Man and Hasmi" in 1981, making a total of 11 directorials as an assistant director in the same number of films, collaborating with well-known directors such as Gëzim Erebara (Artist Merited), Hysen Hakani, Kujtim Çashku (Merited Artist), Xhanfize Keko (People's Artist) etc. As a director, the first film fully directed by him will be the film "Hope" in 1989, followed by "Pirate's Cave" in 1991.
