Narration of actor and director Bilbil Hereni | Artists of Kukes!

Bilbil Hereni Actor and director of the Estrade Theater of Kukes. He also worked as a director in some private televisions.

Mr. Hereni was born on April 29, 1958 in Kukes. He graduated from ILA Tirana in 1981, in the acting department. He has performed about 15 roles in various dramas and premieres in the theater. He has performed over 53 premieres on the Professional Estrada of Kukes as well as several documentary films for “Kukes TV”, on the subject of the war in Kosovo, televised concerts performed in Kukes, Prizren and Lezhe. Among these, we can cite the documentary “Always among people” made in 2020.

In 1988, he played a small role in Kinostudio’s film “Bregu i ashper”. “Albanian Cinematography – Classics”, has always written and will continue to write passionately and tirelessly, for the entire constellation of Albanian stage and screen artists before the 90s, not only those currently confirmed by the center of stage ” but also artists of the secondary plan, actresses of small roles, those who were left in the dust of oblivion, and many others who came from the districts and from the amateur movement, but who left their mark and contributed to the development of Albanian stage art.

After graduating from the high school of culture, in the branch for directing, where I received my first lessons for stage art, in 1976, I won the right through a competition in the branch of acting in Tirana at ILA. I graduated in 1981. My classmates were future actors: Ardian Cerga, Shkelqim Daja, Arben Imami, Rabie Hyka and others.

After I finished the year of professional practice at the Theater “A. Moisiu” in Durres, I am sent to my hometown, in Kukes, where for about 2 years, I performed as an actor in Estrada. Then in the time period 1983 – 2001, I was the director of the Estrade troupe. Later, television practice as a director at “KTV” (Television of Kukesi), helped me to work in other private televisions.

I acted in the film “Bregu i asper”, made in 1988, by Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”, with topics that hit religion and the emancipation of women. according to Diana Cul’s script. In this film, I had a secondary role, a father at a young age, who had two children who die because religion does not allow them to see a doctor. There is only a sequence left in the film where we wait for friends for comfort. After this part was filmed, they told me to leave for Kukes, because the filming at the children’s graves, a scene that I liked very much, would be done in 2 months. Well, the incredible thing happens today. Then Kinostudio “Alxqiperia e Re” sends a telegram to the Executive Committee of the district, to allow the actresses who were part of the film to be shot. Kinostudio had sent the telegram and that Kukesi committee official at the time, (as if for his own pleasure), had not even shown it to me.

The filmmakers of the Kinostudio film together with the director, Drita Koci, had waited and waited, but in vain. Then, in my absence, that scene was never filmed, while the “father of the children” was shown in a distant shot in a group with others. We, who were 8 hours away by bus from Tirana, found it difficult to be part of the Kinostudio film. I, being a director, had arduous commitments to ensure the humorous literary repertoire, the work process of the music sectors, the work of the actors, the harmonization of the components of the performances, add here the care of the “heads” that we had in mind in case of ” deviation from the ideology of the Party”!

Although the passion for the film was the same as for any actor, for me there was only one role, and it was truncated, for trivial reasons. I currently live in Tirana.
