Vlash Drobonik Painter / Cartoon director. Merited Artist The first director of the Albanian animated film Born in Berat on February 5, 1945. Headed the High Institute of Painting Arts. In 1974, he completed a specialization in Romania at the "Animafilm" studio in Bucharest, and began the development of the cartoon film sector at the "New Albania" Kinostudio. He shot the first cartoon "Zana dhe Miri" (1975), which marks the beginning of this genre of film for Albania, practically becoming the founder of the cartoon. Under his direction and that of other later painters B. Kapexhiu, T, Vuksani, etc., this type of painting made quick and successful steps in increasing production. Vlash Drobonik perfected the craft and expanded the range of animation techniques by shooting a series of films that stand out for the professional master, from which the first lessons are taken, a large number of frames of the animated film, with drawings, cartoons, puppets, etc. 
Starting in 1975 until 1990, he shot about 22 cartoons and puppet films as a painter or director/painter, among which we can mention: "Majlinda and the little bird" (1976), "Spring Festival" (1977). , "The Falcon and the Eagle" (1978), "Brave Fingers" (1979), "Erinda and the Doll" (1979), "Edi and the Fourth Grade" (1980), "The Fight for Life" (1981), "The Snow Boy" "(1981) honored with an award, "Ndodhite e Cufos" (1982), 6 series of the puppet film "Zogu pushebardhe" (1983-1986) from which the 3rd series of this film was awarded the third prize at the Festival of VI of the Albanian Documentary and Cartoon Film, "Perparsja e Blerte" (1984), "Pendesa e arushi" (1988), "Kepurdha" (1990) etc. The film "Edi and the fourth grade" was awarded a special prize at the 5th Balkan Film Festival that took place in Athens in 1981. For the high quality level of his films and for his wide creativity, in 1987 he was awarded with the title "Honored Artist", while for his long activity and as the "father" of the animated film in Albania, in 1995 he was awarded the Career Award, on the occasion of the 10th Festival of Artistic and Cartoon Film , which took place within the framework of the 100th anniversary of World Cinema.
