Vehap Kokalari Painter of the animated film at Kinostudio "Alhqiperia e Re" He was born on March 23, 1957 in Gjirokaster. He completed his studies at the artistic high school "Jordan Misja" in Tirana for easel paintings in 1979. He worked for a year at the House of Agricultural Propaganda illustrating covers. In 1980, he started working at Kinostudio in the cartoons sector as a painter animator. The first film is "The Young Omer". Later, Vehap Kokalari, as an animator painter, makes many other films such as "Inspiration"; "Hours of Ghent" etc. As an animator, he has produced around 18 cartoons as well as 2 animated documentaries directed by Gj. Hayatin. In 1998, he was separated from "Alba Film Animacion" and deals with Albanian legends by illustrating about 30 books with different titles that include all the Albanian territories from Kosovo to Cameri. The illustrations of his books have been successful in many national and international fairs such as in Tirana, Skopje, Pristina, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, France, Bulgaria, Greece, etc. ______________ Reference: Encyclopedia of Albanian Cinematography – Toena 2002 / AT Hoxha / p. 198.
