His size as a giant artist did not allow him to stay here on earth, so he climbed up into the sky, into the infinite space there among the other stars. He was born on March 9, 1945 in Korça. Prominent cinema and theater actor and recently director. With a wide artistic activity of 40 years and with about 100 roles on stage. The actor from Korca is remembered by the audience in a special way in the films of Kinostudio "New Albania" such as "Stars of the Long Nights" (1972), "Operation Fire" (1973), or in "The Bride and the Shteterrethimi" (1978) where he plays the Wehrmacht officer perfectly. For the acting values presented on the stage, he was evaluated in 1991 with the title "Deserved Artist" and "Honorary Citizen of Korce" in 2009. In Korce, he finished primary and secondary school, then worked for two years as a painter in Pogradec, attends the Academy of Arts in Tirana in the acting department, where he successfully graduated after 4 years of study in performing arts. I have been working as an actor and director in the theater of the city of Korce for 40 years. Debuts in "Andon Zako Çajupi" with the drama "Njolla te murrme" by Minush Jeros, 1969 and directed by Mihal Luarasi, a work that was condemned by the IV Plenum of the Central Committee four years later and aroused fear and terror in the circles of artists . Serbo had performed in another drama by Jero, "The Invincibles" and in Dritëro Agolli's "White Age", both of which were heavily criticized and then banned. The Korcar actor is a victim of the measures taken by this plenum, which makes him leave all acting activities for a while. In Cinematografi in 1973, he excellently interprets a role in the film "Operation fire", that of Kreshnik Martini, an agent infiltrated into the ranks of subversive gangs, a true story that is made into a film. After his return to cinematography, he gave another excellent performance in the film "The Bride and Curfew" (1978), precisely in the role of a German officer. Besides his professional acting, Serbo is also considered a charming, attractive actor, a quality that has not simply gone unnoticed by directors. Other roles that have left their mark on Albanian cinema are not few, such as that of the teacher in "The Fall of Idols" (1977); the series "The Third" (1978); Trap (1983); "Who died on his feet" (1984); "Postponed Wedding" (1984); "Three people with guna" (1985); "Nothing is forgotten" (1985). In 1986 Llazi Serbo moved to Tirana where he started working as a director assistant, for example, in the film "Bardhësi" directed by Besim Kurti in 1986, then director at the Theater. In recent years, he has been very critical, stating that there are more actresses in circulation than premieres. It should also be mentioned that in 1991, he wrote and directed the film "Who Brought Doruntina" based on the novel by the well-known writer Ismail Kadare (Honour of the Nation). In addition to his passion for acting and directing, he was also passionate about photography. With his photographs, he participated in the Nationwide Photo Contest "Marubi 2003". Llazi Srbo has suffered for a long time from chronic depression for which he was under continuous treatment, but he could not avoid committing suicide on September 12, 2010, (with his hunting partner) and committing a similar act. with the other world-class Albanian actor, Bekim Fehmiu, who committed suicide three months before. He was 65 years old.
