Fuat Boci (1931 – 2020) "Deserved Artist" Professional theater and stage actor from the city of Fier and one of the great names of Albanian humor. He was born in Voshtina – today's Pogonjat, on March 6, 1931, (within the Albanian territory, a village that today belongs to the Greek part, more precisely Opogonjane). Due to the economic crisis in that area, his family moved from Voshtina as immigrants, first for a short time to Gjirokaster and then in 1938, finally to Fier, where they continue to live today. He became an orphan at the young age of 15, where he was forced to work first as a porter and later as a cinema mechanic in the city's cinemas, entering the path of art at a very young age out of passion. From an electrician, cinematographer became a great artist. He graduated from acting high school without a break from work, at the well-known "Jordan Misja" school. From an amateur artist, he reached the top as a professional in the "Bylis" theater in Fier. He stands out for his talent as a comic actor and as a singer during the years of the army in the period 1951-1953. After completing his military service, he works as the head of the radio station (Radio-Local) where he was also given the chance to be active in various theater performances. He is the founding actor of Estrade of Fier in 1957. In 1965, he continued his studies at the "Jordan Misja" Artistic High School, without leaving his job. Fuat Boci has participated in about 160 premieres, playing in 600 roles, standing out for his freedom, fine characterizations of characters, charm, cheerful behavior, comic mimicry. He skillfully used linguistic and regional nuances, bringing to the scene different types of villagers, envious people, lazy, corrupt officials, pseudo-intellectuals, etc. He stands out for his imitating skills as well as his suitable vocals to perform verses and parodies. In addition to the variety show, he has also played parts for children, such as in the puppet theater of the city, where we can imagine Pikalos in the part "The Heroisms of Fatbardh Pikalos". He became proverbial with the role of Beluli in the monologue "Doni me per Beluli", Lipe Shtogut in the skit "Lipja prapa liste" by Pellumb Kulles, Llazi in the other skit "Llazi u be me tapi"; Dalip in the skit "Dream of Dalip"; Jonuz Bey in the short comedy "O burra se na zune"; In the "Sector responsibility" section, etc. The legendary actor of Fier also became known with the roles of the aviator Vasja in the drama "We are Soviet citizens"; Zeneli in the comedy "After death"; Dajua in "Rain on the Beach"; Sotiri in the comedy "A half-fool"; the liberal father in the variety show "Extraordinary Show"; Shvejku in "Shvejku in Vietnam" etc. Precisely for his figure, outstanding work and outstanding talent of at the same time and for his various characters, he has been honored over the years with the following awards: "Labor Medal"/"Naim Frashëri" Medal/"Naim Frashëri" Order of the second class/"Merited Artist"/"Honorary Citizen of Fier ". At the same time, he was a member of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania. But he also contributed to good relations between Albania and Greece. In December 1984, Fuat Boçi met in Fier the Complementary Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Karolos Papoulas, a former childhood friend of Fuat Boçi. Fuat Boci did not think that he would be the catalyst in the melting of diplomatic relations with Greece.
