Vladimir Muzha
Stage and screen artist! Actor of the theater “Bylis”, Fier and Albanian cinematography.

He is known by everyone as an actor, but the older generation also knows him in the field of music as a singer, that what makes him, a complete artist. Muzha is born in the city of Korça on April 3, 1952.

The first beginnings in the path of art started in the primary school years in the city of Korça, at the age of 13, when he was studying music on the violin instrument. During this period, he was selected as a soloist in the school choir.

Later, he is a student of the technical high school “8 Nentori” in Tirana, where he practices singing. The directorate appoints Vladimir to represent the school in the competition of young talents, who with the song “Vrull aksionesh” by the composer Bajram Lapi is evaluated with a diploma as a talented singer.

Already confirmed as a singer, he takes part in “Music Polls” and Festivals in RTSH, with more of the very well known songs of the time such as “Cabina number 3”; “Interesting”; “To the advertisements”. Participated twice in the Festival, in the 9th one with two songs “Festa e dritave” with the composer Pjeter Gaci and “Vallja qe s`mbaron” composed by the great master Avni Mula. In the 10th Festival, he participates with the song composed by Kastriot Gjini “Nepermjet dritash” where he is even evaluated with the 2nd prize.

During this time, in the artistic activities of his school in Tirana, in addition to participating as a singer, Vladimir Muzha is also active as an actor in the theater group that was the best of the high schools in the capital. It is precisely from this group that big names of the Albanian scene like Kujtim Spahivogli came out; Sheri Mita; Ilir Bezhani etc.

In theater meetings held between high schools, he receives medals for special acting performance, and perhaps this period influenced him as a springboard to enter the genre of acting, which he would later study at the Higher Institute of Arts.

Although he didn’t even realize it, his further activism as a singer, music and theater remains an inseparable part of Vladimir’s life. After finishing his higher studies at the High Institute of Arts (today the Academy of Arts) in 1974, he began working as an actor in the “Bylis” Theater in Fier, which had been three years since its creation.

The golden generation of this theater with Pellumb and Xhuljeta Kulla, Muhamet Sherri. Zana Alicka, Dhimiter Jano, Andrea Pepi, Mina Koxhaku and many others. From the 1970s to 1985, it must be said that Vladimir Muzha completed himself as an artist and stood out in the most beautiful performances of this troupe, which were also awarded with National Awards at Theater Festivals such as “That Winter’s Dream”; “Comrade Niqifor”; “Two shots in Paris” that would be shown for the public in 250 nights followed all over the country.

We can mention here one of his best interpretations, the one in the role of Lawyer De Monzi in the drama “Two shots in Paris” by Sheri Mita and Pellumb Kulla.

Other roles in the theater: Alerti in “Unforgotten Years” by Sh. Mita; Kudreti in “Payback” By I. Bezhani, Arbeni in Teodor Laço’s “Days and People”, Dashamir in the play “This Is How I Love You” by Pëllumb Kulla, Alberi in “Rain on the Beach” by Teodor Laço, “Explosion” and “The End of the Lords” by Maku Pone, “Biderman and Firefighters” by Maks Frishi, or ” Who Killed Castij” by Julienne du Vivienne, or in the short comedy alongside with the well-known Luftar Paja, for example, in the role of Miku in “Je shtremberuar ca Zeno”.

In cinematography, he has acted in 8 films. The first role of the actor Vladimir Muzha in the cinematography is that of the Fascist Captain in the film “Balloons”. His most notable role is that of Bardhyl in the movie “Endless Words” in 1986.

He left Albania with his family in 1991 and later moved to America where he currently lives in Pennsylvania.
