Viktor Bruceti had never thought that his life would take the direction he took, that of an actor. Bruceti was a young man who had a passion for poetry and reciting it without shame in open environments or activities that were organized at the beginning of the 50s. Then later comes the school and his graduation in one of the countries that were then considered socialist, of a camp, such as Romania, and later the return, where he ascended to the Albanian stage.

Viktor Bruceti was lucky enough to be among the luminaries of this scene. He was born on February 26, 1938 in the city of Shkodra. He received his first lessons in his hometown, while he completed his higher studies at the Academy of Arts in Bucharest. He was forced to interrupt his studies due to the deterioration of the interstate political circumstances of the time, to continue them in Tirana at the “Aleksander Moisiu” high school.

After graduating in 1964, he was appointed as an actor in the theater “Migjeni” a place where he stayed until 1992. He found there a very warm environment, but also good and talented people. They say that the theater was born in Shkodër, because of the early tradition of this community of people who live there. Those years, when Victor arrived in Shkoder, the theater life there was in full bloom. They were a wonderful constellation, who are sadly sorely missed today. For Viktor, Serafin Fanko, his former colleague, will remain one of the most visionary and powerful directors of that time. As one of his passions, recitation has been and remained until the end.

In a way, he saw the good in him. In fact, it gave him the opportunity to find his life partner, Miriam. A young actor at that time, he took part in the group of reciters at the pedagogical school in Shkodra. His job was to scout talent for this school. And in fact, he did two valuable jobs. Found an “exelance” reciter, as the French say to represent the school, but also the friend of life. Later, Miriam studied dramaturgy and worked with Bruceti in the same theater collective. The artist colleagues would call them “The Happy Couple”. Meanwhile, for his passion, or rather his “hostage” will undoubtedly remain, the return to the stage, despite his age and poor health.

At the “Migjeni” Theater he was one of the actors with the most roles, mostly those with a negative, antagonistic and adversarial attitude, cunning people wells, figures of clerics, crooked people, traitors, portraits which he skillfully constructed, thanks to a visible sense of sarcasm that he possessed in the treatment of characters.

His most prominent roles have been that of “Harapi” of Shkodra in the drama “Baca i Gjetajve”, while in 1995 he plays the role of a 400-year-old old man in the drama “Dinner Invitation” by S. Capalik (the allegory of the reproduction instinct etiological of the Albanians) in which there are contrasts, that is, sarcastic views with dramatic ones.

Other interpretations were Paul in Kol Jakov’s “Perkolgjinajt”; the role of Migjeni to the part of Tom Shoshi, etc. In almost 30 years of artistic life in this theater, Viktor Bruçeti performed a number of roles not only from our dramaturgy but also from the world. In the film, he played a small role in 1959 in the film “Fortuna” and then in the films “Commissar of Light” (1966), “The Call” (1976), “The Days That Brought Spring” (1979), “A Small Unit (1979), the inspector “A night without light” (1981), the prefect “Autumn’s Reproaches” (1981), the pharmacist “Treasure” (1981), “The Red Covenant” (1982), the geometer in “The Uninvited” ( 1985), “Shadows that remain behind” (1985), etc.

Viktor Bruceti will perform 130 roles in theater and 14 in films.
